Jayfeather's POV
A/N- I know in the books the three lose their powers after the war, but that doesn't happen in this version... Also, Jayfeathers not gonna have a lot of chapters now, and this one is probably gonna be short.
Ps, the battle hasn't happened yet.

Jayfeather quickly grabbed his prey off the pile, and ran quickly back to his den.

Yesterday, Lionblaze had returned from his search mission for Dovewing and Ivypool successfully, but with a surprise.

Jayfeather had felt a turmoil of emotions come down on him when Hollyleaf followed Lionblaze into the camp den.

Confusion, because she was supposed to be dead. Happiness, because she wasn't dead. Anger, because she had let them belive she was dead. Worry, because how would she feel seeing Dovewing replace her. More worry, because what if this effected the prophecy.

But through all of that, the most crushing emotion was the guilt.

Hollyleaf was his sister. He should love her more than anything. He should've been devastated when she died... but all he care about was the prophecy. When he found out Dovewing was the third cat of the prophecy, he'd been relived, Hollyleaf was dead. Because she would've complicated things had she been alive.

But she was alive. And she did complicate things.

How can I be this selfish! Jayfeather hated himself. More than ever before. Because instead of celebrating his sister's return, he was mourning it. Her being alive made him feel worse than when she was dead.

And now Jayfeather couldn't even look her in the eyes. Because he knew it was wrong. He was horrible for caring about the prophecy over her. But he did. And nothing could change that.

Nobody understands why Jayfeathet can't can't near his sister. And he can't say. So now, he goes around avoided his 2 siblings.

He causes Hollyleaf more pain, because she thinks it's anger at her causing Jayfeather's avoidance. But it's anger at himself and he can't say it.

Jayfeather could feel her eyes on him now. He could feel the way her heart shattered as he ignored her. Because she loved him.

Hollyleaf had always loved her siblings above everything. Even her obsession with the warrior code was below her siblings, and she'd proven that time and time again when she broke the code to protect them.

You've got enough to do without worrying about her. She should understand that your busy!

Yes. I do have a lot to do...

Jayfeather set down the rabbit he'd gotten from the pile by his nest, feeling to sick to the stomach to eat now. Instead, he turned to the herb store, and started sorting threw every little thing, counting and making a mental list of the herbs he needed to collect more of.

Because there was a battle coming soon. And he needed to be prepared. Jayfeather could hate himself all he wanted, but he couldn't let it take over.

He had given up everything for this stupid prophecy, and it was too late to take it back. He'd given up his sister, and his brother, even his clan.

He'd given up Halfmoon. And that hurt more than anything in the world.

Jayfeather had given up his sanity for this prophecy, and now he had to see it though. And if he knew what had to be done after the battle was over, so be it.
