Half Moons POV
Half Moon could feel her rage. She always hated the idea of battle. It reminded her of death, and death reminded her of Pine.
I'm going to kill every trespasser I see.
"Hey, stop staring at cats like your going to kill them, and do something useful." Half moon heard a voice. She turned to see it was Jaypaw. He was tending to injured cats, and had them all cleaning their wounds.
"How do you know how I'm looking at cats, your blind." She snapped. She knew it was mean and she'd regret it later, but she was so angry and upset she couldn't care at the moment.
Jaypaw snorted, "A mouse with no head could feel your anger 3 miles away." He said.
Halfmoon hissed.
Jaypaws voice softend slightly, "I get your upset, but if you want to see the trespassers dead, it's going to take effort. And a whole lot of strength." Jaypaw pointed out.
Halfmoon had started to calm down, and she knew he was right.
"I know, what should I do?" She asked.
"Come help me treat cats, me and Stoneteller are drowning, and you need cats to be the strongest they can be if your going to fight."
Halfmoon nodded and followed him over to a couple of untreated cats.
"This is for wounds, to make sure they don't get infected. Chew it up into a poultice and spread it around the wound. Make sure the cat likes the wound clean first. If the bleeding bad, use some cobweb to stop the bleeding. Got it?" He asked.
"Yes, I think so." I nodded.
"If your not sure about something get me or Stoneteller." Jaypaw said, and dashed off with some herbs in his mouth.
After a little she relized she had finished. She went to find Jaypaw and saw him helping the worst injured cats into feather coverd nests. She started walking towards him, but noticed that Stoneteller was also heading towards him.
"I see you recruited Half Moon to help." Stoneteller said cooley.
"Yes, there were a lot of injured cats." Jaypaw said, helping Talon into a nest.
"Was it wise? She was upset, and distracted, she could have really hurt the tribe." Stoneteller seemed a little angry.
Jaypaw turned his blind gaze into Stoneteller, "I had her help because of that. Half Moon is kind and gentle, and I knew she would be able to manage. It gave a distraction, and let her focus on helping her tribe. Besides, she did an awesome job."
Stoneteller hissed, "Its not your decision, you could have made things worse!"
Jaypaw hissed back, "I took action, I helped, your tribe needs you, and all you do is sulk in your den all day. Stop being a cranky old man and help!" Jaypaw turned and walked away before Stoneteller could reply.
What is he thinking
Stoneteller would be angry. Half moon looked around, but nobody else seemed to have heard. Half Moon looked up, and seen that Stoneteller had a unreadable look on his face. She was still staring in astonishment when Jaypaw walked up beside her.
"Its not nice to eavesdrop." He said.
Half Moon gave her best innocent look, but failed, "You were talking about me, so I had a right to know." She pointed out.
Jaypaw shrugged, "I don't care, I eavesdrop all the time. Get yelled at a lot too." He said.
Half Moon couldnt tell if he was serious, so she changed the subject, "What's it like in the clans."
