Jaypaw's POV.

After Jaypaw talked to Half Moon, he ran to his nest. He closed his eyes right away, but didn't get nearly enough sleep. Today was going to be a long day.

When he woke up, Hollypaw gave him a knowing look.

She better not say anything! I'm just starting to forgive her! Jaypaw thought angrily.

"Me and Lionpaw got a rabbit to eat. Theres already a bunch more food to eat. Come on." Hollypaw said.

Jaypaw followed her in quiet shock. He had expected a ear full of criticism for sneaking out. Maybe Hollypaw wasn't totally horrible.

Sitting down next to his siblings, he cleared his head of the shock. "Do you know what time we're leaving?" Jaypaw asked.

"Brambleclaw is talking to Stoneteller now. Right after we eat is my guess." Lionpaw responded.

Jaypaw couldn't wait to get home. He missed it so much... but he also had to get away from Half Moon. Once he put distance between them, the nagging sense of guilt and doubt would leave him... hopefully.

"I still can't believe the prophecy." Hollypaw said.

Lionpaw glared over at Jaypaw. "I can't believe you didn't tell us!"

Jaypaw rolled his eyes. "I figured it out. If you two weren't a bunch of mouse brains, you would've too!" Jaypaw snapped angrily.

Lionpaw scooted away form him a little.

"Jeeze. I was just joking!" Lionpaw mutterd.

"I'm not in the mood for your stupid jokes." Jaypaw mutterd.

Hollypaw clears her throat. "Come on, let's eat." She said cheerfully.

Jaypaw looked down at the bird they had. His stomach reeled at the thought of eating but he knew he had to. He was already tired from not sleeping.

He sighed, leaning forward to take a bite. The food was tasteless in his mouth, and it made him want to throw up. But he chocked it down anyways.

After eating as much as he could, he shoved the food away.

"You sure that's all your eating?" Lionpaw asked doubtfully.

Jaypaw narrowed his eyes. "I'm sure!" He hissed.

He felt the doubt and worry coming from Hollypaw and Lionpaw. He could just imagine the look they were definitely exchanging right now.

Looking up, he sniffed around, looking for the one cat that almost always had his mind.

He found her eating with her parents. He could feel the same doubt and worry coming off Stormfur and Brook that was coming off his siblings.

He felt Half Moon glance at him, and then look away. He focused his mind on hers, trying to get inside her head. For almost any other cat, it was easy. But Half Moon had this blockage.

When Jaypaw tried to enter her thoughts, there was this huge cloud covering them. Somthing about Half Moon was definitely different.

Jaypaw smelled Square walking over to them, so he turned his head to look at her.

"Good news!" She announced cheerfully. "I just talked to Brambleclaw, and he said we could leave as soon as everyone finished eating. We're going to say goodbye now. I suggest you guys do the same." Squirrelflight looked specifically at Jaypaw when she said that.

Jaypaw rolled his eyes, looking over to Half Moon.

After last night, it's probably better to stay away from her.
