I had a horrible day so here's a cute chapter. It made me feel better. I hope you like it. ___________________________________
It was a couple of days before Everleigh's fourth birthday when Archie did one of the cutest things. I was at Betty's. We had to work on a project together. Everleigh stayed at home with Archie. They were painting all day.
Everleigh sits at the dining table. Archie sits next to her, shirtless. He didn't feel like wearing one today. He doesn't like wearing a shirt when he's at home. He put a tablecloth on the table so Everleigh can paint her picture and he doesn't have to worry about getting killed by Veronica when there is paint anywhere else but on paper. The little girl has a big smile on her face and swings her legs back and forth.
"Daddy can you help me finish this picture for mommy"
"Sure sweetie. What do you want me to do?"
"Well I drew fireworks but something is missing" the girl says and points to her picture. There are a bunch of colors smeared over the paper.

"There is some space on the sides. We can color our hands and then put a handprint on the paper"
"That's a good idea" she squeals.
"What color?" Archie asks as he takes Everleigh's little hand into his.
"Pink" she grins.
Archie chuckles. He didn't expect anything else. He takes the little brush and dips it into the pink paint before he begins to color her hand.
"That tickles" she laughs.
"I know" he chuckles. He turns her hand around and presses it on the paper. "Okay now lift it up slowly"
The little girl takes her hand off the paper and gasps. She places her hands on her cheeks so now there also is a handprint on her face. "That looks pretty" she giggles "now your hand dada"
"What color?"
"Blue but I want to color your hand"
"Okay".
Everleigh reaches for his hand and begins to color it with blue paint. She has a big smile on her face and looks up to him every now and then. " Tickly?"
"Yeah" he chuckles.
Everleigh grins and runs the brushes over his hand one last time "I'm done"
