V is having a very bad birthday. (Also reminder that in the first book when I wrote about the side's birthdays I did not know at the time that the sides actually had assigned birthdays by Thomas. By the time I found out it was too late/difficult to change. So, in short, these are not the sides real birthdays.)

Four Hundred and Thirty-Six Days After Escape | Monday | November 3rd | Virgil's Birthday

Virgil wasn't responding to Roman, the other could tell he was awake and aware of what was going on but he had seemed to have gone non-verbal, something he only did when extremely anxious or was reminiscing on a part of his past that had caused him extreme pain. Roman tried talking to him, telling him that everything was going to be okay, but Virgil just shook his head and dug himself deeper into Roman's shoulder. He sighed as he brought the shields holding everyone down and tried to get up and go to the others but Virgil whined and held tighter to him, keeping him firmly on the ground. "Stormcloud," Roman whispered gently, "can you let me go?"

Virgil shook his head, his non-verbal state continuing. "Okay, can I carry you?" Roman asked. Virgil hesitated, he didn't like it when Roman carried him, he liked his feet being on the ground. He always worried Roman would drop him, it had never happened. Virgil didn't really eat as much as he should so he pretty light, and as long as Roman's health was okay he could carry Virgil easily. Still, the thought was always there; Roman would drop him and Virgil would hit his head and fall into a coma, the type where you can still hear what people are saying about you, and whenever someone comes to visit him, he hears them complain about how they truly feel and how much they hate him. He knew it was an unrealistic thought, and he should have no reason to be worried about that happening, but he was. He still nodded slowly and wrapped his legs around Roman's waist. Roman thanked him as he stood up with Virgil in his arms, and headed over to the others.

Patton was once again trying to coax the boy down and seeing as his eyes were magnificent bright neon green and his body was trembling with exhaustion it seemed terribly necessary. When the eyes of a super glowed, it was a sign they were pushing their limits "Please kiddo, we're not gonna do anything. We just wanna make sure you get home safely,"

Medusa hesitated, "I'm gonna pass out," he told them suddenly, "What the fuck are those shadows made of?"

"Scientifically speaking, shadows consist of the lack of light or blockage of light." Logan spoke though nobody listened.

Patton stared up at Medusa worriedly, "Okay, come down here and I'll heal you and then we'll get you home."

Medusa continued to hesitate before eventually sighing, "So, truce then? Like, for now anyway?"

Patton nodded, "Yeah kiddo, truce, just come down here. We don't want you falling or getting hurt."

Medusa nodded again before slowly lowering themselves to the ground, when he was just two feet in the air, though, the trashcan fell the rest of the short distance and Patton jumped to catch him. "Are you okay?" Patton asked Medusa, who nodded and pulled away to stand awkwardly in front of them. "Let me heal you, those shadows can tend to have an effect on some people."
