Logan was to meet his 'father' that afternoon, however, because his 'father' lived several hours away they had planned to meet in the middle. For that reason, Logan had left early and had taken Roman with him. Logan had mentioned he wasn't comfortable meeting his 'father' alone, this was for a variety of reasons, and so Roman had offered to join him on his visit. "It would be good to get away, even if it's only for a bit," he had said when he had made the offer.

The actor was still, understandably, upset by the events of the previous week. He'd had multiple panic attacks or dissociative episodes, one had even happened while at work and Patton had had to go pick him to take him home. He'd returned to the theatre the other day, but the director had insisted he continue to take some time off. She knew Roman already knew the entire play, she wasn't worried about him falling behind or anything. Her main worry was finding a new Gaston, as long as Roman was healthy and unharmed she didn't care how long it took him to return to the show.

Logan hadn't wanted to come alone due to the recent disappearances and such. He found it suspicious that his 'father' had reached out to him just as the disappearances began to happen. Twenty-three years had gone by and his 'father' had only now decided he wanted Logan to be a part of his life just as some crazy group of people begins to look for supers? That couldn't be a coincidence.  He would have preferred if Patton or Virgil could have come, if worst came to worst Patton could portal them away. And while Logan believed that all of them had powers equally as strong as the others he also knew Virgil was better at using his powers than Roman was. However, Virgil had therapy and didn't think it'd be a good idea to skip, and Patton had gotten called into work at the last minute so Roman was really the only option left. No matter, Roman would suffice, not to mention that his friend really could use a break.

Both Roman and Logan were in the car now and on their way to the restaurant, Logan's 'father' had requested they meet at. Roman was humming along to whatever song was playing on the radio as he drove. Logan sat in the passenger seat next to him reading a book, "So," Roman began as the song came to an end, drumming his fingers against the steering wheel, "You're meeting your dad for the first time, how do you feel."

"Annoyed," Logan answered, "You know this already. Stop making small talk, you know I find it tedious. Say whatever's on your mind or don't speak."

Roman frowned, "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," he mumbled.

"That's ridiculous Roman I always exit my bed from the right side, and why would leaving the bed on any specific side be considered wrong? It is a side."

"It's just a-" Roman stopped and sighed quietly, "Aren't you even nervous? What's going through your head right now Logan? What do you feel?"

"Emotions are pointless and beyond my understanding."

"Logan."

"What is it?" Logan snapped, Roman flinched slightly a moment passed and Logan frowned, softening his voice, "There's something you wanted to say?

"You're obviously feeling something about this, just the way you're acting now proves it," Roman said, quieter than was normal for him, "It's fine, it's normal. I don't mind listening if you want to talk about it."

"Roman, name one time I have ever wanted to talk about feelings," Roman said nothing, Logan continued, "Exactly, may we end the conversation here, or are you going to continue to figuratively drag me through the mud about this?" Again, Roman said nothing and Logan silently returned to his book.
