Day Three | Monday | November 27th

They sat in an office that was unexpectantly small for someone who ran.... whatever this place was. The walls were colored a dark blue which only served to darken the room due to the little light being let in, the only source being the partially open window, which was slightly obstructed by the blinds. They created eary shadows that crouched over every corner and seemed ready to pounce on the group. The table was made of dark oak and was too large for the size of the room, making it look slightly awkward.  The scene reminded Logan of a black and white movie featuring a private investigator.

Nemo sat behind the desk in a plush black office chair. Roman, Logan, and Patton sat facing him, their backs to the doors, the three of them watched the man shuffle papers around his desk and pull documents up on his computer. "Okay," Nemo said eventually, as he finally moved to face them properly, "How can I help you?"

The three friends glanced between each other for a moment before it was silently decided that Logan should be the one to start, "Well first and foremost I suppose it would be appropriate to thank you for providing Roman and me with medical attention."

"Of course," Nemo commented shortly with a small nod. He still wore that smile, smaller now, and his hands had once again been folded neatly in front of him.

"Secondly, we appreciate your... uhm... interest-" the words came out slowly, he wanted to make sure he chose the correct ones, "-in us, our powers, and our work as heroes however we'd really prefer to not participate in... S.P.O.C.A's activities and would really appreciate it if you gave us an estimate of when we could return home."

Logan paused, waiting to see if Nemo would speak. He did not, he knew Logan had more to say and so he waited. "And lastly, our friend Virgil should be released from detainment if at all possible. He poses no danger to anybody, there is no reason for him to have been arrested."

Nemo nodded his understanding before looking down at his computer again, "Well, lets take a look at his file, this is Virgil Griffin correct?" They nodded, "Right, here we are..." there was a pause as Nemo read through whatever was on his screen, "Well, unfortunately, we currently suspect Virgil of having been Shadow Master, you remember him right? They've caused quite a bit of trouble. We can't release him yet, not unless he's proven innocent."

"But he's not gonna hurt anyone!" Roman said loudly, "He's not a bad guy. And he's not Shadow Master anymore, he's a good person."

Nemo raised an eyebrow, fingers on the keyboard, "Anymore? So you can confirm that Virgil is Shadow Master?"

"Was," they all corrected in unison.

"I see..." Nemo said, though he in fact did not, and typed onto the computer.

"Can you please let him out?" Patton asked.

"No."

The three of them were surprised by the answer, and once again spoke in unison, "No?"

Nemo glanced over at them, "Do you always do that? No? Interesting." The man sat up and cleared his throat, "Tell me boys, if a serial killer claimed they had changed their ways, would you release them from prison?"

"Virgil isn't a serial killer!" Roman yelled angrily, "It's not the same. Virgil doesn't like hurting people, he hates it!"

"Virgil has already gotten into a fight with multiple guards and threatened them with violence." Nemo commented.
