Four Hundred and Fourteen Days After Escape | Monday | October 12th
Virgil had been working on some sets for the play with a small team of other crew members Norah had put him in charge of the small group while she dealt with other things for the play and pre-production. He had to admit that as cool as it was to kinda be in charge of something, he didn't think he was doing a good job though. Whenever one of the people in the group asked him about something he always sounded kind of unsure of the answer, it wasn't exactly making him look the best.
Rehearsal was almost over though and clean up had already begun when he felt a tap on his shoulder. Expecting it to be Roman or Norah he turned around with a small smile, only to be met with Ethan. He frowned as they other looked him over, "I didn't know we went to school together," Ethan said to him, pointing at Roman's theater hoodie from highschool, Virgil wore it whenever his own jacket was in the wash.
"We didn't. I went to school with Norah not too far from here" Virgil said as he turned around to close one of the paint cans.
"So that's Romie's hoodie then huh?"
"Don't call him that"
"Why? He loved it in high school,"
Virgil picked up a couple of the paint cans and walked towards the supply room as he tried not to punch Ethan, "This isn't high school. Don't call him that anymore." Ethan followed behind him, hands in his pockets as he smiled smugly.
"I'm gonna guess you knew we dated,"
"That's not all he told me about you," Virgil placed the paint can's on the shelf and walked back to go collect the last one's
"How much has he told you about himself?" Ethan asked.
"I've known Roman for over a year, I know him well"
"Are you sure? Maybe he's shielding you from something?" Ethan said, Virgil twitched at what the other was implying, "It wouldn't be the first time Romie's given someone the cold shoulder like that"
"That's not how you use that saying," Virgil said, putting the last paint cans on the shelf and left the small room again. Ethan was frowning now, eyes narrowed as he suddenly grabbed Virgil by the shoulder and forced him to turn around. Virgil slapped Ethan's hand away, twisting his wrist so it would be slightly painful but releasing him almost immediately. "Touch me again and you'll regret it."
"You're dating a freak," Ethan told him harshly, "An idiot mutant boy with freaky powers"
"I may be dating a freak but I'm a lot luckier than Quinn is, dating an asshole like you can't be easy."
"Hey, I'm a changed man. After what happened with Romie I got better. I'm not that guy anymore."
"Even if you're not an abuser anymore that doesn't mean you're not an ass."
"I had to do that to him. Imagine what he could've done to me if I didn't."
Virgil glared his hands balled into fists and wanting nothing more than to sock the guy in the face, "Roman wouldn't have ever hurt you. He's not that type of guy. Me though," Virgil looked him up and down, "I've hit bigger dudes for smaller things."
