Chapter 1

Ymir's Pov:

We're nearly back home and I'm sitting behind Historia on her horse.

Home..

I can't believe I actually went with her..

I know she's save with them and I'll do anything to help the others with that. I just want the best for her. I thought going with Reiner and Bertholdt would be safer for her but now I know she's completely save here.

"Ymir?" Historia suddenly calls me, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Hm?" I hum while placing my chin on her shoulder, wrapping my arms tighter around her waist.

"You've been quiet. Are you okay?" She asks softly and I nod while carefully snuggling a little into her.

"Okay.." she mumbles and then leans her head back on my shoulder.

"Tired?" She sighs.

"Exhausted." Historia groans and I chuckle softly.

I then carefully pull away which earned a small groan from her, making me smile. I gently place my hands on hers, making her gasp slightly and then took the reins.

"I can lead the horse, you rest now." I tell her but she shakes her head.

"Historia, yes. Just..let me do this, okay? You went through a lot today." I continue and she sighs.

"You did too. Ymir I-"

"No." I interrupt her while grabbing the reins tighter.

"You. Rest. Now." I command and she nods while placing her hands on mine.

"Is this okay?" Historia asks shyly and I smile.

"Yeah."

"I-It's just I know you don't like peoples touch..or like body contact." She mumbles.

I take both reins in my left hand and then grab her left hand with my right.

"You know I like your touch." I whisper while gently brushing my thumb over the back of her hand.

"Never doubt that. I like everything about you. You could do anything you want, no matter how much it would hurt me, I'd still feel that way." I tell her and she slowly looks over her shoulder directly into my eyes.

I can get lost in those eyes everytime I look into them. They're just too memorizing.

How could I ever fall so deeply in love with you?

When Historia turns around she smiles at me shyly and I could bet she's blushing. Really deeply actually.

She's so adorable I can't!

She then quickly turns back around after realizing she's staring and blushing and I can't help but laugh.

"If you laugh for one more second I'll kick you off the horse." She warns me but I just can't stop.

In the next second I got kicked off the horse by Historia and I land on the ground.

"Historia!" I yell and she stops the horse and turns around while laughing at me.

"How are you allowed to laugh but I don't?" I ask annoyed but she just shrugs.

"Because this is actually funny?" She answers with a sheepish smile.

"We're nearly home and I don't want to come across any titans now so stop fooling around." Mikasa says while she, Armin and Eren drive up with the carriage next to us.

Eren is still hurt and weak because of earlier and so is Mikasa.

"Yeah yeah." I murmur and then stand up.

I walk over to Historia and was about to get on the horse again when she makes the horse walk a few meters, making it not possible for me to get up.

"Seriously Historia?" I ask but she just laughs.

"C'mon please! I don't wanna get yelled at from Mikasa again!" I whine and she slowly stops laughing.

"Okay, c'mere." She says and I jog over to her and get on the horse again.

"You're mean." I mumble and she chuckles.

"You're always mean to others. But you're still my best friend so let me be mean once too." Historia replies which makes me roll my eyes.

"Yeah but I'm not mean to you."

..did she just call me her best friend?

"Wait..I'm your best friend?" I ask softly, still kinda shocked and surprised.

"Of course you are. You're my favorite person in the whole world." She says and places her hands on mine again.

"I'm your best friend.." I mumble to myself but I guess she heard it because she chuckles softly.

"Yes you are, Ymir. You've been since the first day I've met you. So better get used to that title." Historia replies and I place my chin on her shoulder again.

"You're my best friend too." I whisper and she squeezes my hands in response.

But you're also a lot more to me than that..
