PROLOGUE

"Good morning attorney" bati ng mga tao na nagtatrabaho sa kasulokoyang firm na pinapasukan ko.

I worked here for almost 3 years, I started as a stenographer and pursue my dreams to become a lawyer. This isn't my dream job before but there's a lot of reason that I choose this job.

As I reached my office, I immediately took the new folder placed on my table. Guess a new case for me to solve, I am still one of the lawyers that stick to our principles.

After a few minutes someone knocked on the door.

"Come in" I said with my attention on the folder.

"Good morning attorney.... Are you busy?" tanong ng secretary ko. I don't know if all lawyer has a secretary but in our law firm lahat kami may secretary para raw kahit papaano ay may katuwang kami.

Ano kaya ang pakay nito? I guess may request naman si Dad sa kanya.

"Hindi naman, may appointment ba ako?" I still have no idea kung ano ang gusto niyang sasabihin sa akin.

"Take a seat" I offered because she was just standing in front of me. Sinunod naman n'ya yung sinabi ko.

Maurice was one of my classmate way back when we're still a trainee for a stenography, she's also one of my friends. Kaya nung pinursue ko ang pagiging lawyer eh nag offer siya agad na maging secretary ko hahaha. She's a great stenographer and I don't know why she choose to be my secretary.

"Ano po kasi...." saad pa niya. Hindi talaga kami matatapos nito eh.

"Spill the tea Maurice" hindi ko siya tinitignan kasi nakatuon parin ang atensyon ko sa bagong kaso.

"Your Dad asked me if you agree on his offer to you last time." I remembered it now, nag-offer si Dad na ako ang maging lawyer ng company namin and I still have no response for that.

"Pupuntahan ko na lang siya mamaya sa bahay..." saad ko sa kanya upang hindi na siya kukulitin ni Dad.

"Do you want to come with me?" Her eyes twinkled like a star.

"Oo ba, miss ko na sila tita at yung luto niya." We both laughed on what she said, close naman na siya sa pamilya ko eh and I treated her as my sister.

"Miss mo na talaga si Mom 'no? Eh pano naman yung brother ko?" pang-aasar ko pa sa kanya. I remembered that she has a huge crush on him eh ang manhid naman nun.

"Talaga lang Athena ha?" napa-smirk naman siya and I just laughed on that.

"So first name basis tayo ngayong araw?" natatawa ko paring sabi sa kanya, she just rolled her eyes.

"Aalis na nga nakakainis ka naman eh" she immediately stood up, hindi ko na 'to pipigilan para mas lalong mainis hahaha.

"Ok ingat" nakatuon na uli ang atensyon ko roon sa binabasa ko.

"ATHENAAAAAA!!" galit na sigaw niya at pa simple naman akong tumawa.

"Ang ingay mo naman" kunwari naiirita kong sabi. I liked teasing her but I don't want her to cry because of that, ang iyakin pa naman nito.
