JAYCE'S POV

Simula no'ng ma-assign ako kay Athena. Walang gabing hindi ako umiiyak ng dahil sa kanya. Kung hindi ba naging toxic ang relasyon namin, kami pa ba hanggang ngayon?

I know it's way too late for the both of us. Still I'm trying my best to get the two of you.

"Maurice" I called Athena's secretary.

"Yes?" busy itong maglista ng mga schedule ni Athena.

"Would you mind give me some copy of Athena's schedule, day-by-day" I told her.

"Sure. I'll just give it to you later" bumalik na ako sa table ko.

I asked for it kasi bigla bigla na lang aalis si Athena kung saan-saan. Mabuti ng may copy ako para malaman ko kung sa'n ang schedule niya.

"It's 10 am ba't ngayon ka lang?" I asked her. Sa pagkakaalam ko maaga 'tong umalis eh tapos ngayon lang siya nakarating rito.

"None of your business" she told me and she just quietly sit on her chair.

"Attorney?" agad na saad ni Maurice ng pagpasok niya.

"Yes?" she sipped her coffee.

"How's the case?" nagpatuloy lang ako sa pagpipirma ng mga papeles rito.

"Which one?"

"The rape case. The one you've defended the suspect" giit na sagot ni Maurice.

In the tone of her voice. I knew that she didn't like the case.

"You can't call him suspect until proven guilty" napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi ni Athena.

Madalas na ba niyang i-denefend ang mga suspect? Why would she do that?

"Hayst. Heto na naman tayo oh" hindi umalis sa harapan ni Athena si Maurice.

"He's innocent, okay?" pagtatanggol pa ni Athena.

"He raped the girl Athena. Akala ko ba, you stick to your principles. Ano ba naman yan." maktol pa ni Maurice.

"Let's just talk this on the other time" nakita ko'ng mariin na ipinikit ni Athena ang kanyang mga mata.

"I'll give the innocent people the justice they deserve" that's what Athena told me 16 years ago.

Inosente ba talaga ang inilaban niya? Bakit ipinaglaban niya 'to? Ano bang pinasokan mo Athena?

SKY'S POV

I called Athena that I will pick up Zarniah. We're going to shop. Susunod lang raw si Athena. She even remind me to not spend a lot of money for her girl. Duh! I don't care. I just love her daughter too much.

It's almost 4pm. Wala namang training si Z ngayon.

I saw a familiar face walking towards my direction.

What the hell is she doing here?!

"I didn't know that you have already a kid" sarkastikong saad ko kay Jayce.
