"Eye spy something...oh! Yellow." Aurora's head laid against Ellie's back her eyes drifting along the tree line as the passed. Ellie looked around her hand gently resting against one of Aurora's on her waist, "Yellow?" "Mhm.." Ellie's eyes drifted up and landed on a yellow bird singing happily on a branch it's feathers reflecting in the sunlight. "The bird?" "Damn I thought that would take you longer!" Ellie snorted and looked around in thought, "What do you think it's name is?" Ellie's eyebrows furrowed another laugh escaping her lips. "Birds have names?" Aurora gasped and sat up straight, "All birds have names have you never read a story in your life!" "Sorry, sorry! I didn't realize birds had names." Aurora suddenly looked around taking her hands away from Ellie's waist for a moment pulling her shirt down.

"It's so quiet." Aurora whispered wrapping her arms around Ellie's waist once again. "Yeah almost too quiet. It's like there waiting for us." Aurora pretended to shiver laying her head against Ellie's back, "I bet there gonna eat our eyes and cut are fingers off." Ellie huffed very amused at the rambling happening behind her, "Your imagination concerns me." The horse galloped into a small crater filled slightly with water a flipped over car nearby vines and leaves hanging off of the tires liquid dripping from the exhaust pipe most likely water. Aurora looked around becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the quietness of the forest unknowingly scooting closer into Ellie's back.

"Hey look." Aurora moved to look past Ellie's shoulder seeing cars and a gate ahead of them, the gate having spray painted words across the grey metal. "Whoa that's a huge gate, that's what QZ's look like?" Ellie nodded, "yeah but usually there are more guards around." Aurora's eyes squinted the sunlight being slightly new compared to the darkened forest, looking around her eyes finally read the spray painted words. "WLF trespassers killed on sight-." She muttered scrunching her face, "That's not very welcoming." Ellie scooted off the horse and headed to a small building besides the gate leaving Aurora on the horse. "Where is everyone?" Ellie muttered to no one in particular. Aurora pondered the question herself scooting of Shimmer onto the cement, something she hadn't felt in while her legs wobbling to keep her standing.

She could hear Ellie shuffling around and wondered if she should head in opting to look at the cars instead. The seats were either stripped completely from the car or tattered and rotten, ripped in some places. Her face twisted into one of disgust but a small ping of sadness hit her heart noticing a small carseat in the backseat of a car her eyes having to be forced away from the vehicle. Aurora had to pull herself away not wanting to think about the child somewhere in her mind hoping the child grew up but knowing better in a world like this. Aurora walked to the side of the buildings where a few cages were built, looking around for Ellie she noticed her climbing on top of the cages walking towards a latter. Aurora made a mental note to ask Ellie about them later and left climbing on top of the building then jumping onto the metal cages with a clang causing Ellie to turn around.

"Careful." Aurora brushed her knees off and looked at Ellie with a sarcastic, toothy smile, "Nah." Ellie huffed a smile appearing then disappearing  before she turned around the the broken ladder. She looked up at it and turned back to Aurora, "I'll go boost me." Aurora huffed and stood up straight jogging over to Ellie's spot the metal clanging as she ran. Aurora got in position setting her hands on her thighs finger intertwined as Ellie's foot setting itself on top of her hands. Aurora threw her up stumbling back at the force watching Ellie hang off the ladder her shirt rising on her stomach. "I'll keep looking around, try to open the gate from the other side." Ellie looked down at Aurora worry evident in her face. "I'll be fine move it!" "Be careful." Aurora scoffed nonchalantly smirking, "When am I not?" Ellie snickered and climbed up the metal creaking from her weight.
