She could hit me with a bus then step on my corpse and I'd thank her :)

The Calm Before The Chaos

Aurora opened her eyes, her surroundings blurry for a moment, she blinked a few times sitting up. Ellie's arm hung around her waist loosely, she rolled around once Aurora began moving, turning to face away with her back now facing Aurora. Aurora slowly slid off the cushions and onto the cold floor stretching her arms up. She could feel her shoulder burn a bit, she groaned quickly putting her arms back down bending over to pick up her shirt. She threw her shirt on then her jeans and shoes then turned back one last time to look at Ellie smiling down at the sleeping girl, quietly admiring her face then walking out passing by the guitar. She left the stage walking past the rows and rows of seats up into the main area of the theater once again.

She turned to a staircase deciding to head upstairs reaching a balcony overlooking the main area. She smiled imagining herself in a big princess gown looking over many people that were there to see her. She set her hands along the wooded railing before turning back around walking back into the hallway, her eyes settling on the wooden bar. She admired the design that had been placed along the front, her fingers rubbing along it. She pulled her pocket knife out that had been discarded there the night before and flipped it open and leaned against the bar beginning to carve into it's wood. 'A.M.' now sat carved deeply into the wood of the bartop. She smiled and put the knife back in her pocket continuing to look around seeing a doorway just across from the bar.

She walked inside heading up a small staircase reaching the top, she glanced around to see a few shelves and lockers, like a storage area and another room. The door was slightly cracked so she pushed it open lightly, a radio sat on the desk that wrapped around part of the room. It was slightly lit up by a lamp that sat on the table, an old map hung on the wall as well. Aurora walked inside the room towards the radio that had already been turned on but nothing came out. She turned it furrowing her eyebrows wondering why it wasn't working. She then pulled out the antenna, the radio cracking alive. A wire stuck out, Aurora leaned over pushing it back in hearing a spark then,

"Nora! How's the hospital move going? Over." Aurora's eyes widened, she quickly grabbed the map off the corkboard setting in on the desk looking it over. She turned her head grabbing a long discarded blue marker. "Good, could use some backup though. It's taking forever. Over." Aurora marked the map down with an arrow pointing at the hospital that was marked on the map. 'NORA' "But which one is that?" Aurora remembered the polaroids from earlier, she dropped the marker and ran out of the room and down the stairs exiting to where the bar was. She turned again sprinting down that staircase and towards her backpack that she'd slipped the photos in. Pulling out the polaroids she walked back towards the staircase flipping through each photo until finally one that was marked, 'Nora and Nick' was held in her hand.

Aurora ran back up the stairs and into the radio room pushing the door closed behind her. "Some fuckin' trespassers broke into the school. Be on the lookout for two girls that don't belong. Over." Aurora's stomach dropped, she bit her lip staring down at the map holding the polaroids in one hand and the marker in the other. She laid Nora's photo down next to her markings when another voice came. "Have you heard anything from Owen? It's not like him to run off like that." There was a pause then, "Nora please say over, and no I haven't. Over." She continued marking down the map as they spoke, even figuring out where the scars were writing the name in red pen at the top. She listened closely, writing down different zones with her marker. "Two happens to talk a lot."

She circled the area she believed to be two marking it with the words 'HOME BASE?' She was so deep in thought she hadn't heard the door creek open behind her placing a polaroid beside the word 'AWOL?' A hand snuck up against the small of her back, someone coming up to stand behind her leaning over her shoulder. Aurora jumped back into the person's arm that kept her close so she didn't fall backwards.
