Spoken Secrets

"So how in the world did they only see Jesse?" Aurora questioned as Ellie pushed the door open. "I was in a building scavenging, when Jesse here decided to continue down the road without me. They ambushed him so I snuck around while this idiot blew up a truck." Jesse laughed walking inside the theater behind Ellie, limping along as he did so. "It was the only thing I could do!" Aurora giggled walking in last shutting the door behind her allowing Ellie to stick the chair into the door to keep it closed and locked. "Alright Jesse lay down, and don't move." Jesse laughed at the order that came from Aurora and sat down on the couch. "Are you aware there's blood on this couch?" "Yeah don't worry that's my blood." Aurora spoke nonchalantly making Jesse and Jamie look at her with a strange expression.

"Remember I said I got shot? At least it'll leave a cool scar." Aurora glanced to her elbow rolling it a bit, Ellie cringed looking at the ground then at Jesse. "It scared the shit outta me." Aurora smiled looking at Ellie. "Did it go straight through?" Jamie asked coming up to Aurora pulling the sleeve of her shirt up a bit to expose the bandages. "Yeah luckily. Ellie would've been the one digging it out." Ellie looked off letting out a strangled chuckle. "I'm just glad your okay." Jamie looked up to Aurora who nodded smiling at her. "Anyway how did your guy's journey go? How'd you get past Maria?" Jamie sat down on the couch pulling Aurora down with her leaving Ellie standing in front of them all messing with her hands.

"We snuck out, pretty hard when Maria was practically patrolling for you guys. She's worried about Tommy and you, Ror. She tries to hide it but I can see it on her face." Jamie sat back looking over to Aurora. "Yeah, that's why we came. Gotta make sure you two don't get yourselves killed without us. We gotta live to tell the tale." Aurora scoffed at Jesse, smiling and shaking her head. "We were worried too! Jesse just has a fun way of showing it." Jamie leaned in a bit towards Aurora. Ellie stood there staring at them, listening to their quiet conversation. She walked off after a minute to the stage room leaving the three there to talk.

A couple of moments went by before Jesse laid down to sleep, the two girls got up looking around. "So is Ellie okay after everything?" Aurora shrugged looking down at her feet as they walked. "I dunno. She doesn't like talking about it, she finds distractions so that she doesn't think about it every second." Aurora and Jamie walked into the stage room looking around, "What's on your neck?" Aurora looked over furrowing her eyebrows watching Jamie stare at her neck in confusion. "What do you mean?" Jamie stepped forward pulling the collar of Aurora's shirt back a bit widening her eyes. "Is that a hickey?" Aurora's eyes shot open her hand tugging Jamie's away and fixing her collar. "No!" She whispered, looking around.

"It totally is!" Aurora crossed her arms looking towards the stage and away for Jamie's eyes. "Don't think so, just a day ago I was being choked by a wolf it's probably a bruise." Aurora brushed it off hoping that Jamie accepted that answer, but she didn't. "Oh yeah you were choked, but not by a wolf." Aurora gasped pushing her playfully. "So you and Ellie?" Aurora looked down nodding then back up at Jamie. "Yeah, since the dance." Jamie smiled and hugged Aurora kissing her cheek. "Hell yeah dude. I feel like a proud mom." "Oh shut it. Go get some rest I'm gonna find Ellie. She kind of disappeared." Jamie nodded and smiled one last time before walking off towards the stage looking around in awe.

Aurora left the stage room walking up the stairs entering the bar room once again. She glanced at the carvings then walked through the door and up the small staircase to the radio room. The door was somewhat shut making her push it open softly letting it slowly open. Ellie sat in a chair holding one of her arms out a needle between her fingers as she sewed a cut.
