The evening was beginning to set around the farm, the sky painted a purplish pink color. Aurora sat on the steps watching little Alice run around in the field with high pitched squeals, a rocket ship in her hand dramatically whooshing around with Max happily chasing her. The sound of footsteps walking out of the house made her turn around and look up at Ellie who smiled sitting down beside her on the step. 

"It's everything I wanted and more." Aurora whispered setting her head against Ellie's shoulder. "I'm glad." Aurora looked up to Ellie but didn't say anything causing the girl to raise and eyebrow. "Do I have something on my face?" Aurora snorted and shook her head taking it off of her shoulder. "No, I was thinking." She laughed watching Alice throw the rocket in the air laughing. "About?" Aurora shrugged looking down to her feet. "A lot of things. Mostly about her birthday party. I can't believe she's going to be four already." "I know she's getting too big." Aurora leaned back against her hands looking around the farm biting her lip. 

"We should have another one. Y'know so she isn't lonely." Ellie said softly trying to act non nonchalant but was internally screaming. "Another one? Now that's something to think about." Ellie looked over to Aurora smiling. "Oh come on, it wouldn't be so bad. She'd have someone to play with. Maybe this time we can do what Taylor and Vivian did." Aurora up to Ellie with wide eyes. "Okay, then who are we stealing baby seeds from? Ben?" Ellie scoffed playfully shoving her.  "Np way in hell. What about Derek?" "Derek? As in tried to feed a horse cow meat, Derek?" Ellie cringed shaking her head. "Yeah, never mind." Aurora shrugged sitting forward watching Alice. 

"What about Ethan? He's nice and a good-looking fella. I don't think he'd mind either." Ellie hummed looking back to Alice then at Aurora. "What would you want, a boy or another girl?" Aurora took in a deep breath thinking. "I would be happy with either, as long as their healthy." "You are such a mom." It was Aurora's turn to push her laughing. "What is that supposed to mean?" "Nothing!"  "Mommy, mama, look!" Both women looked over to see Alice running towards them, holding a small ragdoll she'd dropped outside just a few days before. "I found Wobert! Now bunny won't be awone anymore." Aurora giggled pulling Alice in turning around to give her a big kiss on the cheek. "Oh yeah? How is bunny doing?" "He's been vewy sad wifout his best fwiend." 

Aurora pulled the girl up onto her lap looking at the small doll that had been worn out. "Yeah, we don't want him to be sad now do we?" Alice shook her head then looked over to Ellie. "Take care of Wobert, I gotta go potty." Ellie snorted taking the doll from Alice's hand watching her run off into the house. "Your her favorite." Aurora whispered leaning in a bit. "No way." "Oh yeah, she trusts you with Wobert, you win." Ellie laughed looking down at the doll in her hands before reaching one hand in her jean pocket. Aurora stared forward closing her eyes when the wind blew passed. "I always said I was gonna go to mars, be the captain of my own rocket ship but now I'm realizing I kinda need a co-captain."

"What in the world are you talking abo-?" Aurora looked over with a confused face before her eyes went wide her laughter dying down. She stared at the ring that had a small but beautiful diamond on the top, in Ellie's hand before looking up into her eyes to make sure she was serious. "Ellie...how did you-" Ellie scratched the back of her neck smiling in a cheesy yet nervous way. "I found it when me and Tommy went into the city. I should've did this a long time ago but I guess I was nervous. But seeing you talk about having more kids. About Alice, seeing you with her. Now is perfect. So, Aurora Montgomery,  will you go to Mars with me?" Aurora choked out a tear wiping it with the sleeve of Ellie's flannel. "God, yes. Of course." Aurora smiled nodding profusely. Ellie took her hand slipping the ring onto her finger before digging back into her pocket pulling out a silver band. 

"God, who's the sap now?" Aurora wiped more tears away laughing. "We can be equal on that one." Aurora laughed pulling Ellie in for a kiss feeling her hands crawl up her cheeks. "Mommy?" Ellie and Aurora turned towards the front door smiling at Alice who held Aurora's old stuffed bunny in her hands. "Yeah baby?" Aurora replied wiping more tears away. "Why are you cwying?" Alice looked so concerned it made them giggle, she trotted her way over sitting straight down on Ellie's knee looking over to Aurora. "I'm crying because I'm happy." Alice looked at them both back and forth tilting her head. "Why?" "Because, I get to spend forever with my best friend." Alice smiled then looked down at Ellie's hand gasping. "You gave mommy with wing wifout me!" 

Aurora looked at Ellie raising an eyebrow. "Hey, it was good timing I had to take the chance I'm sorry." Alice crossed her arms glaring at Ellie. "Hey, how about you get to tell uncle Jesse and aunt Dina?" Alice stopped glaring and got excited hugging Ellie. "Otay. And we can see Peter?" "Mhm." Aurora smiled watching the two before they both looked over to her. "So, we tell everyone tomorrow then ask Ethan if he'll gladly donate to the lesbian cause." Ellie snorted hiding her face in Alice's back before turning to look at Aurora. "Sounds like a plan." 

"So, Mrs. Williams, guess that Tuesday wasn't so normal after all." Ellie smiled at the comment leaning in, pressing a kiss to Aurora's jawline muttering against her skin, "No it was not Mrs. Williams."  Aurora giggled setting her head on Ellie's shoulder allowing Alice to layback into her chest, Aurora dragging a few fingers through her tangled hair. "You are something Ellie Williams." "Is that a bad thing?" "Not in a million years." 

A/N: It's over and I feel empty. Now here's some fun facts abt the book that I have canon in my notes or things I changed from the book!

1. Aurora's original name was Jamie but I kept typing Jaimie so I changed it to Laura then hated that
2. I was gonna have Aurora go with Ellie at the end to find Abby but it didn't fit her personality or anything she'd told Ellie about revenge in the beginning chapters
3. I wrote in my notes that Aurora's mom is seen as a runner but I didn't know how to fit it in hehehe she got what she deserved in my mind
4. Aurora was supposed to have line about not knowing she like girls until she met Ellie but I didn't know where to put it
5. Aurora always trusts her gut because she got a really bad feeling before her dad died :,)
6. Aurora cried to Maria after finding out Cat and Ellie were dating
7. Jesse was supposed to die but I couldn't do it so he just got super hurt instead and then shed a few tears over Jamie cause I did like her
8. Alice's name was changed SEVEN times bc I couldn't decide :) 
9. Aurora has a boy named Joel and I was gonna write it but I liked this ending better
10. Alice's middle name is Lillian after her mother who passed giving birth to her
