Blaze sets his fork down, looking at Jinxx. Thinking of how to respond, he folds his hands underneath his chin. His golden brown eyes sparkling with nervousness and something else. Jinxx raises an eyebrow as she lifts her fork to her mouth, the eggs and sausage shocking her dead tastebuds back to life.
Just as Blaze opens his mouth to respond, the apartment door crashes open. Cody barrels through the doorway, almost crashing into the sofa. His frantic eyes look around the room before settling on Blaze. Panting, "Penny...Tommy...they are gone."
Blaze raises an eyebrow before growling softly, "And did you just race here to tell me that or did you take your time to look?"
"Well I'm so fucking sorry that I thought you would care about your fucking pack for once, Alpha?" Cody basically snarls with sarcasm and then looks towards Jinxx, "Sorry, did I interrupt your fucking fantastic time with your 'wife'."
Blaze's golden brown eyes smolder in fury at his Beta. Slowly Blaze pushes his chair back and gets up making his way over to Cody. Jinxx's surprise at the comment of 'wife' turns to confusion and she calls out, "Blaze, what the heck is he talking about?"
Blaze's eyes continue to smolder in anger, gaze glued to Cody. Getting a burst of confidence, Cody pipes up yet again, "Did he not tell you that he posed-"
Cody was quickly cut off as a fierce growl nearly shook the very ground underneath their feet. Blaze launched himself at the green-eyed Beta. Together, they tumbled to the ground. Blaze pulling back his arm to crash his fist into Cody's face. Blaze got a few hits in before he came to his senses. His murderous gaze still set on Cody's bruised face, he growled, "I am completely capable of explaining things myself, Brother. It would be wise to not test my patience. I will kill you next time."
Jinxx's eyes caught on Blaze as he calmed down, breathing heavily. He stepped closer to Jinxx, arms wrapping around her. He grabs her chin, tilts her head up, and kisses her in a show of possessiveness.
Jinxx pulled away and her eyes narrowed, "You never answered my question, Blaze. What the hell was he talking about?" She cracks a small smile, "It would be wise not to test my patience. You won't like me angry."
Cody pushed himself up onto his elbows, wiping the blood from his nose. He also spit out a small puddle of blood. Cody cleared his throat, eyes locked onto Blaze, "Yea, Alpha, go on and tell her."
Blaze's gaze hardened before softening again when they settled on Jinxx, "I may have posed as..."
Blaze's words trailed off. Jinxx glared, "You might need to speak up, Wolfy."
Blaze cleared his throat and repeated himself, "I may have posed as your husband."
Jinxx's eyebrow rose in surprise and her lips lifted into a small smile.
The three sat in silence before Cody broke it...
