Blaze tugs Jinxx, by her hand, away from Star and Tor's place. Outside, Blaze turns to face his mate. His eyes searching hers, "What is it you want me to do?"
Blaze doesn't find what he is looking for in her eyes, Jinxx leans forward and kisses him. Blaze returns the kiss, fiercely displaying his love and adoration for his mate. The pair momentarily forget the third wheel, Cody, that is hanging back to give them their privacy.
The distant ring of sirens and the smell of exhaust fill the streets. Blaze pulls back from the kiss and whispers in Jinxx's ear. They walk side-by-side, Blaze's arm around his mate. Blaze's brother follows behind. Cody soon cuts away and follows his own path.
Blaze's eyes lock on Jinxx, "Can I-"
Jinxx cuts him off, "Blaze."
Blaze looks at Jinxx, expectant. Jinxx continues on, "I don't want you to kill Gazelle. I don't want you to kill anyone..."
Blaze's face lights up as he chuckles, "Babe, I'm gonna protect you with my life. I can't lose you. I won't be even partly human without you."
A tear rolls down Jinxx's cheek. Blaze wipes it away, "Don't cry."
Jinxx hides her face in Blaze's shoulder. She mumbles something into his shoulder, Blaze doesn't mind as he strokes her hair. The pair stand there for a few minutes until they break apart and walk to the black Impala. Blaze opens the passenger door for Jinxx before slipping into the driver seat.
The shrill cry of a phone ringing makes the two jump, Blaze slips out his phone and looks at the caller ID.
Cody.
Blaze clicks the decline button and starts the engine. He slips it into reverse and peels out of the parking spot. Heading east to the woods. The point where he would like to show Jinxx a beautiful sight.
Blaze pulls onto a dirt road and pulls between two arched trees. He pulls up as far as he can, it's still night but it is getting lighter.
Blaze gets out of the car and opens the door for Jinxx. He takes her hand and leads her into the clearing. Behind them is the car with trees on both sides of it. Infront of them is a cliff and the horizon. The cliff drops to rock and the concealed sandy bottom of the ocean. Blaze smiles and intertwines his fingers through Jinxx's as he steps forward, to the edge. The pair watch as the sun rises, their lips lock in a battle after watching for a few moments.
