Chapter 44 (Virgil's POV)

I had to do my homework, I had to do it, I had to study... But I couldn't. I felt tired, lazy, I didn't have the energy. Maybe I had been too impulsive deciding to take the pills right away, this time wasn't as bad as before, but still... It wasn't that bad. I knew first days where the worst. I'd just have to grow ussed to them.

Someone nocked on my door. I groaned, knowing that Patton would interpret this as a sign to leave me alone. But still, the door opened. I rolled to see who the intrudor was.

"Roman?" I asked.

"Hi Stormcloud. Is everything alright?" He asked. Ah, fuck, I didn't have the energy to deal with this extra boy...

"Yeah, yeah, it is," I sighed.

"Sure? You didn't seem at lunch."

"Idk why it'll be like that. Nothing has changed," I lied. Normally, lying would make me unconfortably nervous, but now... "Could you leave now?"

"Ok... I still find this a bit strange... Anyways, if you need anything, just give me a call, ok?"

"Sure."

"I love you," Roman said as he got out the door. I stayed silent.

Roman closed the door, but soonly after it opened again, and Patton got inside.

"How are you feeling kiddo. Everything alright?" Patton asked.

"Yes Patton, everything is alright," I groaned.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to bother you," He mumbled.

"Don't worry, it's ok, I'm the one who's acting weird, it's not your fault," I told him.

"Ah, ok. Um... What did you and Roman talk about? He seemed down when he got out."

"Idk what would've made him upset, we just had a normal conversation," I explained.

"Maybe. But he's noticed that you aren't acting the same as always, and he's concerned. Maybe you should tell him that you're on anxiety medication..."

"Oh no! That's not gonna happen!" I rolled off my bed and stood up, "I'm already embarrased to the fact that I need the medication again, I'm not going to make it public! Heck, that's only going to make him worry more!"

"Ok, ok, no need to be like that... I'm going to leave now, it seems like you want to be alone," Patton walked to the door and closed the door behind him. It was obvious that he was upset.

"Whatever," I turned to my bed to sit in it again, but I tripped with air and fell down.

I rolled so I was facing the ceiling, took my phone off my pocket and started to scroll though social media. I didn't have anything else to do, so...

---

My headphones where beaming music into my scull as I stared at a black piece of paper. At some point I had decided that maybe I should try and write something, but even if I had a promt for a story in my head, I just couldn't seem to write it down in paper.

I noticed movement and saw the door opening. I rolled my eyes, expecting another anoying conversation with Patton or Roman, but when I looked up again there was someone's else at the door.

"Hi Virgil. I hope I'm not interrupting you or anything," Logan said.

"Oh. Logan. I wasn't expecting you."

"Yeah... I just wanted to drop by and see how you were," He explained, still from the door.

"Ah, ok, thanks. You can come inside if you wanna," I offered. Logan smiled and got in. I noticed he was carrying his handbag with him. He put it down and took his computer out.

"If I remember correctly, you liked death note, the anime. I haven't see much anime myself, but I thought maybe you'd like to introduce it to me," He proposed, sitting in the corner of the bed.

"I- Thank Logan, um... that's nice of you, but... I don't think that death note is the best one for you... It isn't logical, so I'm not sure you'll enjoy it..." I replied, taking my headphones out.

"Alright then... any other anime you recomend that maybe we can watch?"

"I'm not sure. Most of the animes I like are about magical, supernatural stuff, and the ones that aren't are either gore, which isn't really your style either I'd say, or just lack logic at all," I explained. Logan's smile faded away.

"Ok then. Sorry for taking your time from you, I'm sure you have more important buisness to attend better than this," Logan stood up, and he picked his laptop up, shoved it into his handbag and he was about to leave when I spoke.

"Wait. Maybe we can watch Sherlock or Doctor who again. I know how much you love those two shows!" I sugested. I regreted beeing so slow, Logan had almost left. My reflexes wheren't working correctly. Still, it was good enough.

"Sure, good idea," Logan said. He brough his computer out one last time, sat next to me in the bed and turned it on.

The episode started. Logan had selected Sherlock after all. We would ussually make coments together on the way that the show was inacurate, but I wasn't in a mood for that either. I had just agreed to do this because it made Logan happy, and I couldn't bear to be the reason he wasn't.
