"Hey, Virge, wanna eat with us again?" Patton asked me the second I came out my room. I was still half asleep, with my pajamas on and messy hair, while Patton was completely ready, brushed hair, and he was wearing a white t-shirt with a blue cardigan around his neck and blue jeans. I checked the hour. 6:30 in the morning.

"What are you doing up so early?" I groaned. Patton froze for a second, face rigid, but he put his usual expresion a second after. I must've imagined it.

"I usually wake up pretty early, kiddo! I'm not good at sleeping, so I use my time to make lunch and other stuff," He explained.

"Oh, ok, whatever," I dragged myself next to the coffee pot to find that Patton had already made, "Oh, thanks for leaving me some," I said as I look for an empty cup and milk.

"No problem Virge. Would you like for me to prepare your lunch for today? It's no trouble, I promise," Patton proposed. I stared at my cup for a couple of seconds before answering.

"'k, why not."

"Cool! By the way, talking about lunch, would you like to join us?" Patton asked again.

"Who is us?" I drank a bit of my coffee, but I still felt tired and couldn't focus on anything.

"Us is you, me, Roman and Roman's roommate," Patton explained as he turned off the fire and opened a pot. White steam came flowing out of it.

"Sure. I don't have anything better to do anyways," I answered. Patton face lit up. I finished my coffee. When I looked again at Patton, I noticed that he had eye bags, but I didn't give it importance.

timeskip to lunch time

Patton, Roman and I were sitting in the same table than the other day. Remy and Emile were in their own table, with their friends. No one was talking nor eating, because we had decided to wait for Roman's roommate before starting. Roman didn't stop stretching himself to look around the canteene. Today he was wearing a white t-shirt and a red jacket, possibly from his high school.

"So... Who is your roommate?" I asked, trying to break the silence.

"Oh, he is a huge nerd, and a bit like a vampire, super pale.. He doesn't get out of his room often, and I'm not sure when he eats, because I've never seen him eat except for yesterday, at dinner. But he got in from a scholarship, so he must be smart. Oh, wait..." Roman paused, as he stood up, "I think I see him," Patton and I turned around, trying to see who Roman was talking about, "Yes, it's him! Hey! Hey Lo! Logan, here!"

Wait... Logan? No it couldn't be... I didn't have so bad luck... But i was wrong. It was him. The cute guy from literature class. He had his dark hair perfectly combed to the side, just like yesterday, and he was wearing a black shirt, a blue striped tie, and blue jeans. He was as outstanding as the first time I saw him.

"Greetings Logan!" Roman exclaimed, as his roommate approached the table, "Lo, these are Patton Picany and Virgil Nightshade. Boys, this is my roomie, Logan Crofters."

"Salutations," Logan said.

"Hi! Nice to meet you Logan!" Patton said, leaning forward to shake his hand. I noticed the slight shade of pink im my roomies cheeks. Logan shook his hand firmly.

"Sup!" Was all I said.

Stupid! I told myself. Logan was obviously a classy person! If you want him to like you, you can't go around... Wait. Did I like him? I did like him, right...? Ujjj why is this so confusing!

"...And what do study, Logan?" I heard someone say. I had spaced out. Again.

"Well, Patton, I want to become a math high school teacher, but I'm also studying biology, physics, literature and some other things, just in case," Logan explained.

"Wow, that is a lot of stuff," Patton said.

We all ate our food while conversation. Well, they Patton and Roman talked the most, while Logan and I stayed in silence the most time. Quiet, handsome, inteligent... Was there something that this boy didn't have? Logan looked up from his food and we shared a gaze. I hadn't noticed before, but Logan eyes where silver grey, with few traces of blue pigment. I looked down at my food, flattered.

I concentrated on my food for the most of the lunch since that point, with some comments on the conversation now and then. The food was actually very good. It was a beef stew with potatoes and carrots. Patton did know how to cook.

When we finished lunch we each went to our respective classes, after agreeing on having lunch again together tomorrow. I wasn't so bad, but I kept overthinking everything that I had done for the rest of the day. I had been stupid. I should've participated more in the conversation. Probably Logan thought that I was boring now. Or plain. Or just an angsty emo. But it wasn't an emo. At least not as much as a few years ago. No, I was ok. I just liked this style. But there was nothing wrong with that, right? I had probably cause the worst first impression to Logan. Well, I already had, considering on how stupid I'd been when we meet. Ujjjjj why did the universe hate me!!!!
