This definitely put the boy vigilante on edge.
Nezu was one of the smartest beings on earth and he definitely did not want him on his case. Should the principal of UA take interest in him, his career as a vigilante would be over.
"What are your terms?" He asked, hesitantly.
"Simple! I wish to ask you 5 questions and for us to have a cup of tea together."
"No. Absolutely not."
Nezu was smart he would easily be able to deduct his identity from 5 questions. Plus the two of them having tea together would be the perfect set up for a trap.
"Why not? Based on your alternatives I can't say you much of an option." Said the principal with a sly smirk.
"It's not an equal exchange!" Exclaimed the boy vigilante.
"Fair enough. How about 4 questions in which you may ask me 4 in return and have tea at my apartment?"
"2 questions for both of us and having tea at a location of my choice. Also you have to come alone and the questions cannot be anything that will help you find my identity." He retorted.
"Deal."
"Wait what?!"
"You drive a hard bargain but I am willing to agree to this compromise."
"Why are you giving me a chance anyways? And why do you want to meet and have tea?" He inquired, cautiously.
"It's quite simple really. You intrigue me and in some ways. That was your first question. My turn."
He cursed. How could he have been so careless?!
"Why did you become a vigilante?"
Ok. He was not expecting that question.
"I suppose..." should he really have made this deal? Welp too late to turn back now.
"I believe that it is my duty. I've done something unforgivable and this is the only way I know how to repent." He replied.
Nezu nodded. "I see. Your turn."
Ok. He wasn't quite sure if he really wanted to ask this but Nezu was the only other being that he knew of that would understand and know what to do.
0Dekiru? Are you alright?" Asked Nezu as the boy vigilante spaces out.
He snapped back to reality.
"That was your second question. And to answer it... I'm mean I haven't died yet so I'd say I'm doing ok." he said with his own sly smirk creeping up onto his face. Not that anyone could see it, mind you.
The smaller mammal seemed amused by this.
"I suppose that you are right." He said with a chuckle as he stared up at Dekiru with calculating eyes.
He gulped. Might as well ask it now.
"Nezu. You have experience with escaping labritories right?"
The principal shifted uncomfortably.
"Why yes, yes, I do."
"Hypothetically, let's say that someone close to me is being experimented on the the methods they are using are... inhumane. What would they do in order to get out of it?"
"Well it's simple, just stop going to the laboratory or have their guardian say no to these experiments."
"But what if they can't?"
"Hmm... does this person live in the labritory?"
"No..."
"So? I do not see the problem in not going."
"But what if they can't?"
"I see no reason as to why they cannot."
"I- look, they just can't. Do you have a solution?"
"I can do some digging if you would like? Maybe make a cas-"
"No!" he shouted. "no." he said quietly. "I appreciate the assistance but please, no."
"Well, if you ever need my help, here's my card."
He hesitantly took it.
"Thank you. I must be off. I'll contact you with the when and where of this tea meeting."
And with that he climbed up the side of a building and crawled onto the roof.
He took out his phone and took a picture of the card before pulling out a lighter and setting it on fire. After all, one could never be too careful.
He had wanted to save Eri but if he were to have Nezu look into the lab the name Midoriya Izuku was bound bound to pop up. That would then raise the question as to how the boy vigilante knew the quirkless loser who didn't have any friends, siblings, or cousins.
Besides, there was no guarantee that Eri would even be rescued. After all, the poor girl didn't even live in the lab. In fact, the girl rarely visited the lab as it is. He saw her... what? Every... 2 months or so?
Anyways, it looks like he might have to handle things himself.
