He sat, perched on the ledge of a building, peering into an alley. A mugging was taking place.

"P-plea-" the woman stuttered out while on her knees as she was punched in the face.

"Shut up and give me your money!"

He clenched his fists. Could he really do this? Once he made his debut that was it. There would be no backing out. People would depend on him to protect them. Was he ready for that?

"P-please I beg you! I have a family! T-they depend on me! My husband... he has a quirk related disease and I need to pay for his treatment! This is all that we have! I need it!"

"Does it look like I give a f*ck?! Hand it over already!"

The woman let out a half choked sob.

No, it didn't matter if he was ready or not. The safety of the people of this town were his responsibility. It's his fault that they lost their protector. It was now his turn to take his place.

The sound of utter despair that the woman had let out, he had been there. He knew the feeling of being alone and ignored all too well. Memories flashed before his eyes.

The second time he had been to the lab. How he had begged Hisashi to let him go as he thrashed and fought against the two scientists who were wrestling him into the chair. How he screamed as they tortured him as punishment for resisting.

The first time Inko hit him. He had been acting a little difficult like a kid his age, he couldn't even remember what it was about but all he could remember was the ceasing of his cries as silent tears rolled down his cheeks.

The first time Kacchan had beat him up. The sounds of explosions making his ears ring.

The third time he had went to the hospital and they had turned him away, deeming him to be "not worth it"

Standing up, the newly born vigilante jumped down into the alley way.

Enough was enough. No one else should ever have to suffer like him. No one should know his pain.

"Let her go" he growled.

"Who the hell are you supposed to be? Get lost if you know what's good for you."

"Yeah, no can do buster."

The man threw a punch at him, he just dodged and electrocuted him. Making quick work of the perp and he helped the lady up.

He wished that it would have been him instead of her being beat up.

And if he thought that he deserved all of the cruel treatment... well there was no one that could hear his thoughts.

No one to tell him that he deserved better and that it wasn't his fault that things turned out to be this way.
