Chapter Thirty-Six

                                                                     ***Valerie POV 3rd Person***

Her mates held her tightly in their arms as they laid on their bed holding Valerie who had cried herself to sleep. Her eyes were swollen and her face was tired as well as her hair was a mess. Valerie stirs slightly as she tried to get more comfortable. Before long she began to twitch in her sleep and mumble until she began to scream and cry. Leam and Lucas quickly wake her up and she is crying again. She looked up at them with her teary eyes.

"I think I just had a vision. Or maybe its a memory? I dunno!" She cried as she tugged her curls in her fist.

"Valerie." Lucas says taking her hands gently. "Please calm down." 

"I'm so frustrated! And confused and..and scared!" She struggled to find the right words as she squeezed Lucas's hand tightly. Valerie didn't know what else to do except cry and her sobs wracked her body.

Valerie sighs looks in the mirror of her now 6-month pregnant stomach and felt a little kick in her tummy and she smiled calling out to Leam and Lucas who come rushing.

"They kicked!" Leam and Lucas rested their hands on her stomach feeling the light taps from inside. 

"So you sure Jasmine and Mike are going to be okay training the new wolves?" Valerie asked worried."Its their first day too.." 

"It is fine Val." Leam said reassuringly. Khloe knocked on the door letting out a huge cough and she looked awful. Valerie quickly rushes to her and grabs her arms leading her to the bed to sit.

"Oh my goodness Khloe you look awful!" Valerie felt her forehead and yanked her head back because her forehead was burning hot. "Khloe you need to rest your burning up!"

"I can't dear you have your ultrasound today! I have to watch the kids for you."

"That is ridiculous!" Lucas exclaimed. "We can reschedule. You need to rest down!"

"But-" 
"NO! BED. NOW. KHLOE." Leam demanded and she quickly got up and headed to the room with Lucas following behind to make sure. 

"I'll watch the kids go help Jasmine and Mike please." Valerie says going out to find her children. Lucy and Julian were sitting in their toy/ hang out room and Lucy was playing with some toys but Julian was nowhere to be found.

"Hey baby." Valerie says and sits beside her.

"Hey mommy!" She said hugging her.

"Where is your brother?"

"He went outside I think." Lucille responded playing with her dolls hair with her stuffed bunny on her lap. That gave Valerie an idea for Lucy's birthday and she smiled. 

"Can I play with you?" She nods eagerly and hands Valerie a doll.

Valerie leaned against the doorway of the ballroom while Lucille told her excitedly how she wanted it to look. 

"The buffet table will be right here with all kinds of meat and fruit! Oh and over here will be clear so we can dance here. There should be some tables and chairs here." She gasped as an idea occurred to her. "It has to be a masquerade ball! We all have to wear masks!" She giggled as she bounced and spinned around with her stuffed bunny. 

"Ooo a masquerade ball? Sounds fun! I'm getting excited!" Valerie says squatting down holding Lucy's hand. "What do you want the color theme to be?"

"Pink and blue!" Lucy jumps excitedly. 

"I love it!" Valerie says.

"You, Dad, Father, Julian and I should wear our crowns!" Lucy squeals. Valerie nods when someone steps in behind them. She turned to find Asher leaning against the doorway.

"Hey." Valerie says quietly.

"Hey." He said with a gentle smile."I have a question. It's about Daisy." 

He said his red eyes fading to green and his vampire tattoos faded. Valerie was still trying to get used to his human form and realize how much more handsome he is with green eyes. 

"Okay be quick because I have work I need to do. Lucy head to the toy room. I'll be there in a few."
"Okay, how do you ask Daisy to the party you are having for Lucille's birthday?" Valerie raises her eyebrows.
"You want to make it official?" Asher looks away and huffs. 

"Would you just answer the question?!"
"Invite her to dinner. By candlelight. With Champagne. Also, make sure there are rose petals and that you are dressed decently."
"I have to do all of that?"
"Not exactly. But she would certainly say yes because she always dreamed about being asked like that."
"Thanks, Val!" Asher says as he stuffs his hand into his pocket and leaves down the hall where Alex was waiting for him. Valerie smiles before heading out herself to the toy room.
