Chapter Thirteen

                                                                          ***Leam POV 3rd***

Leam and Lucas stood at the edge of the new land they had purchased for expanding their pack. Lucas stood straight in deep blue pants and coat with a white shirt under it with his hand tucked in his pocket. There was already the outlining of the new houses slowly coming together. Leam stood beside his brother in a similar outfit but less neat and his hair fell messily to one side. He rubbed his stubble as he smiled admiringly as their plans were slowly coming together. He looked at his brother to see if he was feeling the same. For the first time since Valerie left Lucas had a genuine smile and Leam claps his hand on the back of his brother's shoulder. His brother looked at him and closed his eyes with a smile. 

"We are doing it. everything is improving and we are finally expanding." Lucas said as he turned back to the workers working on the new houses. Similar constructions were going on not even 5 minutes away from here. 

"Excuse me. I was wanted to ask you to mark the path you want us to make through the forest." A young male part of their pack asked as he tapped on the roughly sketched map of where they wanted everything located. 

"Ah yes. Clearly, it would need to be connected to the one that goes to the houses scattered through this area of the woods." Lucas says circling with his finger and tapping in the middle of it towering over the younger male. 

"Well, it hard to say since we are currently still constructing those houses and we haven't made a path yet." The young male said scratching his face nervously. 

"Oh, there is an easy solution. We can make the main road for now and then add those paths extending from the main when you finish." Leam said towering over the young male as well and looks at his older brother for approval. His brother smiles and nods. 

"Could you walk us through the main path that way we can take down the trees that may be in the way?" 

"We would like it if you could avoid taking down as many trees as you can," Lucas responds with a smile.

"We were just about to head back. So I'm sure you can do the marking and everything." The younger male smiles excitedly.

"Oh, let me go get the markers real quick before we start." The male rushes out of view temporarily before coming back with his hand full of metal sticks with pink flags. "Alright, I'm ready."

They walk through the forest near the new houses being built. The echos of hammers, saws, and other tools echoing through the air. They stopped occasionally for the male to mark a spot to keep track of the road that would be placed there in the near future. When they reached the village the young male bows and runs back into the woods. Leam pulls his sleeve up and checked the time on his watch. He nearly gasps as he taps on Lucas's shoulder vigorously and showed his watch to him and Lucas's eyes widened.

"Oh, crap we are gonna be late to playtime with Lucy and Julien." They run at full speed barely making it to the mansion. They quickly take their coats off and change their pants to more casual bottoms. They hear Lucy's shrieking laughter out in the field and they go out there. Lucy was running around in the field of flowers and Daisy spins her in a circle and then continues to dance with Lucy who giggles. Khloe sat in the grassy field knitting something as she watched the two play and Julien sat beside her and seemed really into the book he was reading. Daisy wore a peach-colored dress and the skirt flared out as did her golden curls. Her sleeves were puffy but see-through and off the shoulder. Her hair had flowers from the field Leam was sure Lucy placed there. She and Lucy were barefooted and continued around the field as there was calm waltz music playing from a phone connected to a wireless Bluetooth speaker next to Khloe and Julian. Lucy wore a white dress that was long in the back and short in the front ending below her knees.
