Chapter Six

***Valerie POV 3rd***

Valerie laughs like Asher said the funniest thing while they strolled the rose garden. He then pulls away from her and turns to one of the pushes swiftly picking a rose from the bush and holding it out to Valerie. 

"Oh wow, it so beautiful." She says accepting the rose pricking her finger on a thorn. "Ouch!" Asher quickly grabs her hand to exam it the blood well up but the injury quickly healed. 

"Good thing you are a Hybrid. Heals quickly." He said and put his arm around her shoulder as they continued to stroll through the garden. The smell was so strong and with her smell being heightened she began to get a headache. She rubbed the bridge of her nose.

"Maybe we should do something else." She nods before letting out a sneeze. 

"Bless me." She says glaring at him.

"You already are cause I'm here." She rolled her eyes and let out a smile.

Valerie collapsed on the bed exhausted from the day of acting. The dress she wore was too fancy and royal. She wanted some normal clothes again. She sat up on her elbows as Asher unbuttoned his fancy coat and pulled it off with a white shirt showing his shoulder blades rotate.

"Good acting," Valerie says giving him an encouraging smile as she went and got a sundress she was able to convince a maid to get. The closest thing she could get to normal clothes.

"Yeah, acting," Asher said quietly knowing everything he has done he meant. Valerie goes into the bathroom pulling her dress off and pulled the new on and sighed in content and pulled her hair up into a bun. She walked out of the bathroom and threw the dress into the closet they were sharing and he was in gray sweatpants and a loose white button-up shirt. 

"Ready?" Asher asked with a smile.

"Ready for what?" Valerie said with a faint grin.

"For our date!" Asher said. Valerie sighed tiredly. "Come on Valerie. Let's get out of here and relax for a bit!" He said holding out his hand to her. 

"Okay." She said smiling wanting to have some freedom and what he offered sound just right. She takes his hand and he runs out the double doors and jumps over the fence of the balcony pulling her with him. She had gotten better at  the landing and manages to land on her feet and she giggles as he leads her into the forest. Asher brings her to a beautiful clear lake with a waterfall. 

"Wow." Valerie sits down in the lush green grass and Asher sits beside her. "This is beautiful."

"Yeah, I used to come here with my brother and your mates all the time." She felt her wolf's ear perk upwards.

"What stopped that?" Valerie asked resting a hand on his shoulder. His eyes glowed red as he looked down at his hands.

"There was this girl that was so beautiful. More beautiful than life itself. I fell hard for her and we started seeing each other in secret. Alex, Leam, and Lucas told me to stop seeing her but I didn't want to listen. I told her when we would meet up and she manipulated me into pushing them away eventually I cut them completely away from me. Then she found her mate and shattered my heart leaving me behind. I didn't want to admit they were right and I went to the house at the mansion in the packs' town hoping to avoid my brother. Instead, I found my brother, Leam, and Lucas there. The girl that shattered my heart stood there clinging onto my brother and he wrapped his arms around her. I left after that and became who I am now. The monster I am. My best friends stabbed me in the back." He looked at her his eyes still glowing red.
