Fun and games in the 501st

Fives and Echo play cuphead

(okay so for anyone who doesn't know the game two cup heads lose a bet against the devil and they have to run around beating bosses and getting contracts back.)

The war was over. Creshda force decided to leave pretty much immediately. They didn't want to stay in that hell hole anymore. It took them around a month of renovation to make an  AT-TE suitable for the eight of them to live in and it looked quite good. Three weeks after they were all enjoying the peace of no fighting.
Well apart from one of them.

Fives had been incredibly quiet and nowhere to be seen for three days now. And as a result of that Echo was nowhere to be seen either; they may have gotten a teeny tiny bit of separation anxiety since the incidences at the citidel and fives almost dying. It had gotten so bad now they would get extremely agitated if they weren't in the same room, they couldn't go back into a battle if they wanted to.

"Day four in the Creshda household, still, Fives and Echo aren't kriffing here." Hardcase put on a stupid accent making Jesse and Tup giggle.
It wasn't really a joke anymore however to (y/n) and Rex.
Kix sat at the table with a bowl of cereal, "I haven't seen him have a shower for-"
"Right on checking up on him." (y/n) left the table and wondered down the hallway.

She opened their bedroom door to see the pair of them cuddling eachother. Usually this would be classed as odd but now she had gotten used to it; one time she walked in on part of the 501st all cuddling into eachother in a ball like little lost puppies.
"Hey. You okay?"
Fives took one look up at her and burst out into tears.
"Hey hey hey hey hey. Don't cry," she sat on the tiny amount of bed space that was left,"What's wrong?"
"I I miss being in the 501st! I miss how much fun we used to all have I wanna go back!"
"Fives we can't go back. Especially you. You know that." she stroked his hand feeling sorry for him.
"But but we don't do anything anymore!" he stuttered, "We just sit here and do nothing!"
"Fives it's only been three weeks." Echo chimed in, everyone is still fixing things and making this place look nice. That doesn't mean we aren't gonna have anymore fun. We could probably have a little more with eachother now we can't get told off."
"See? Echo's right. We just need to adjust. It's a big change."
"But we don't do anything at all!"
"Okay then." she smirked and booked both on the head knocking them out, "HARDCASE!"
"WHAT?!"
"SAY A RANDOM VIDEO GAME!"
"CUPHEAD!"
"RIGHT WE ARE ROLLING WITH THAT!"

Echo woke up feeling disturbingly numb. He winched his eyes open to be overwhelmed with vibrant and bright colours. He wasn't used to everything looking so happy.
He groaned, "Fives..."
"Chavit come on we have a gambling deal to do." Fives grabbed his hand and dragged him into a building.
"What?! Fives what are we-"
"And we have to lose!"

It wasn't until they had actually gotten a table on the establishment that Echo noticed that Fives had a cup for a head.
Yep. They were in another video game that Echo didn't want to be in -_-.
"Well hey idiots!"
Hardcase was sprawled over the chair opposite them.
"Hardcase?! Why are you-"
"I wanted to get involved. And to boss you around." he grinned, (y/n) had let him be the part of the Devil.
Fives face went into a -__- mood.
"Now I don't wanna lose."
"That's the point!" he grinned, "come on roll whenever ya want we have all day."
With a heavy heart, Fives rolled the two dice and lost.
The game had begun.

Fives and Echo were doing okay until they came up to the first boss: The root pack.
"Fives," Echo was getting scared, "Is this a bad time to tell you I-"
"Quiet! We need to fight this potato thing!"
Soon it appeared. Fives started shooting wildly. However Echo didn't. As it made its first power move towards them Echo screamed and jumped up into Fives arms to avoid it.
"WHY AREN'T YOU SHOOTING?!" Fives shouted.
"BECAUSE I DONT KNOW HOW THE GUNS WORK 😭😭😭😭😭😭!"

Echo finally figured out how the guns worked. As a result of their arc training, they managed to get quite far very fast. Most of the bosses didn't stand a chance. It was going along much better than that time they played FNaF a couple years ago. Then it got to Echo's greatest fear, so truly terrible and horrific with no predictability whatsoever...

Dice.

Echo forced himself out of the dream and woke up screaming.
"NO MORE PURE LUCK!"
Hardcase and (y/n) fell on the floor laughing their asses off. Out of everything to get Echo it was the fact he couldn't make any proper calculations.
Fives woke up a few seconds after him, "Hey I thought we were going to finish the game!"
"Nobody told me about the die."
"Ya mean dice."
"No. Die?! There was only one crazy man so the word is singular!"
"Oh shove a sock in it!"

(y/n) just grinned, "so besides the DIE how was it?"
"Amazing!" Fives had that gleam back in his eyes, "I wanna go back in!"
"Yeah but maybe later? Because the others have been worried sick about you?" Hardcase was still on the floor laughing.
The others walked back out and met the others.
"So are you okay now?" Rex was being a classic worried dad.
Fives grinned back, now restored to his normal self.
"I loved it," he said, "I wanna adopt a child."
"seriously?"
"YES! It isn't like Rex is growing a pair anytime soon and we want to be uncles."
Rex got very red and angry.
"Okay byyyeee!" The pair of them ran off leaving the poor ex-jedi to deal with the blushing Captain.

-Five days later-
Fives and Echo were now with them all the time. He had gotten alot happier now. As they were all eating breakfast however (y/n) suddenly felt very nauseous.
" (nickname) are you okay-"
She suddenly legged it out of the room and into a bathroom were she could be heard being violently sick.
"WAAAYYYY!" everyone apart from Rex jumped in the air cheering loudly and smacking Rex on the back.
"OUR CAPTAINS GROWN A PAIR! OUR CAPTAINS GROWN A PAIR! OH REXY'S GROWN A PAIR! OUR CAPTAINS GROWN A PAIR!"

(imagine the last bit as like a football chant)
