Just look at this amazing meme.

"Good job men, get some rest." Rex dismissed a group of clones after some very taxing drills.
He had his helmet glued to his head again.
"I think it's you who needs the rest." Fives muttered to himself.
Rex heard but pretended to ignore him. He had loads of work that had to be done around the base and he had already pulled 2 all nighters.
His top score for staying awake was for a week but that was just mechanics and writing evaluations and reports on the resolute. This time over he had more evaluations, more reports and quite a lot of taxing drills to do with the rest of the 501st. He was tired already but work had to be done.
Right now he was running on caf and an unhealthy will to work. He was quite thankful (y/n) had a lot of work to do as well for assessments on how much she knew for a padawan so he wasn't bothered much. Now he was on his fourth day of staying awake, he kept his helmet firmly on to hide the obvious signs of being tired and overworked. This was a funny theme that everyone in the 501st knew but never told him they knew. The only time he would take his helmet off was mainly to eat and if nobody was around.

This was one of those times.
Rex put his plate on the table with Fives and Echo and Tup and slumped himself on the seat.
Algorithms. Casualties. Tact-
"has anybody told you how bloody awful you look?"
Rex faintly looked up to acknowledge Fives with his baggy eyes and went back to Eating.
"Rex you really need to get some sleep." Echo said.
"Later."
"Captain, youve been living on caf for almost a week-"
"I said later."
He took a stab at the food on his plate.
The three of them passed around worried glances.
"Look Rex," Echo tried putting it nicer, "What about (y/n)?"
"What about her?"
"Well she can't be liking it." Tup put in.
"I haven't seen her."
"What do you mean haven't seen her?"
"She's busy with jedi stuff I'm busy with training." he gruffly replied.
"Not surprised. I mean if I was dating a workaholic zombie," Fives joked.
Rex just rolled his eyes and stood up; he hadn't finished his lunch but he couldn't give a kriff.
"Where are you going?" Echo raised an eyebrow.
"back to work."
Fives slammed his fists on the table and stood up. This was a kriff take!
"Are you kidding me!?" he called out angrily to Rex, causing a few others to look round.
But Rex just ignored him as he usually did anyway and walked out the mess.
He slammed his butt back down on the seat, "This is definitely how he's going to die."
"Yes I can see it now!" Tups eyes lit up, "cc7567 Captain Rex, cause of death: power converters."
The two arcs couldn't help laughing, It was a dark joke but on bloody point!

"You haven't put the data pad down."
"Wait what?"
Rex looked up to See (y/n) on the bed. He hadn't taken off his helmet or realised she had moved from the door to the bed. Oh well.
"When are you sleeping? You didn't last night or the night before and that's only been the times youve stayed in here. Don't lie."
"I'll sleep after I've finished this." he tried sounding reassuring.
"That's a lie."
"Excuse me?" he looked incredibly shocked at This.
"It's quite clear you have no intention of sleeping." she wasn't that amused.
"Well if you had as much work as me,"
"I do but I want to sleep."
"So do I but that's not really possible right now."
"Just a few hours-"
"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU NO!" he snapped at her angrily
He just shouted at Her.
He never shouted at her.
(y/n) didn't even know he could shout that loud.

The shouts vibrated painfully on the Jedi's ears, leaving a face of shock, nervousness, anger and confusion. Anybody shouting at her would usually end with louder shouts from her and possibly a punch to the face but this time she didn't know how to react. It was from Rex.
It quickly sank in what he had done and he was mortified.
"(y/n) im sorry I-" he didn't know how to respond.
She later down properly on the bed and turned away from him.
"(y/n) I..."
"Kriff off."
Rex sighed and continued on with the work he was doing. There was nothing else that night he could think of doing.
