It was one of the earliest missions they ever went on. They were so happy. So naive.
So blind.
(y/n) and the group of clones were jumping from tower rooftop to tower rooftop, laughing and shooting the odd droid. (y/n) threw her lightsaber into one of them.
This small squad had been Anakins idea, a group consisting of (y/n), Rex, Kix, Jesse, Echo, Fives, Hardcase and Tup - the people who had shown the most ingenuity in missions. Their task was to get things done regular squads couldn't. This only worked because Anakin covered up half of what they did. This group went by "creshda force" it didn't mean anything it just sounded cool to say.
"Great shot sir!" said Kix.
"thanks ct-6116." (y/n) replied deflecting a bolt off another.
"ya know it's Kix right?"
"ya know I'm not called sir right?" The young Jedi grinned and jumped to the next building.
It was an odd thing for the rest of the clones to get used to. None of them had ever been directly told before to be informal around a Jedi. What was usually classed as rude was now something they had to get used to. Most times they questioned her sanity.

"WOOOOOOOOOO" screamed hardcase as the rest of them jumped to the end roof.
Jesse pushed hardcase in midair so he crash landed down on the roof with Jesse landing on top of him. Soon everyone was messing around on the roof like absolute five year olds.
"woooo "
"we did it!"
"hahaaa "
Soon enough everyone calmed down. Well most of them had calmed down, Tup was chasing hardcase around trying to get his hairband Back.
Jesse and (y/n) stood up,
"right, I think it's about time we got back." Jesse eventually Said, still giggling.
The mission had been a big success. While stealing battle plans for the droids, Echo tripped on a pipe and fell face first into a droid essentially kissing it resulting in this weird waltz around the room and he tried to wrestle with it. Nobody helped but Fives snapped a couple of photos.

All of a sudden, they all heard a loud whirring sound. It was a bomb.
Heading straight for the City.
"No. No NO!" The horrified Jedi started leaping rooftops the opposite way down to the city.
"wait (y/n) no!" Echo shouted as the rest of them ran to catch (y/n) up.
They'd never seen a bomb so large before. As it exploded the shock wave blew them back. The ringing sensation momentarily paused the processing of whatever happened.
"it has to be the separatists, nobody else could do this." Echo said, barely being heard.
How they wished he was Right.

The ringing passed in half a minute and they stood up again. Tup was still kneeled over in pain.
"(Y/n) please we need to go back now." Kix was worried his brother had burst an ear drum.
But all (y/n) did was stare at the burning city below. What the hell was going on?
"hang on look," Jesse pointed up to the sky "it's a Republic cruiser."
"the Republic aren't meant to be on this planet it can't be them- oh osik." Hardcase voluntarily cut himself off for it was a republic cruiser in the sky.
"it's a separatist city." grimaced Rex, "the war is getting desperate now. But the Jedi code wouldn't allow this-"
"This won't be Jedi." (Y/n) cut him off, "the authorisation would have come from higher up." She had seen what the republic could do but this was barbaric.
None of the clones knew fully what to do.
They had never seen a Jedi in such a mess before. Jedi were always known to show little to no emotions. But then here she was throwing that out the window. Along with this, the clone had been conditioned to accept war. Yes it bothered them but they could brush it off. Something about the Jedi breaking made it more real though.

She couldn't pry her ears away from the scream. Running down to help would only give them more fear.
"Listen."
The clones stood to attention.
"I know you were made to support and fight for the Republic, I understand that. You had no choice. And I know this goes against every code your told to follow but please.... I don't care, what the hell the Republic is meant signify! I don't care that we are fighting for the 'right side', because there's no kriffing right side in this war, there never will be. The whole thing is flawed on minor misunderstandings things should have never got this far. This will all be brushed under the carpet like it never happened all because they aren't, on, the same side! Because of one stupid concept of right and wrong!" She kicked a droid head in annoyance.
Jesse turned her around to face them and gave her a hug; staring at it won't help. If she's that uptight about these subjects she shouldn't even be in a war. Granted she was smart and good with battle droids but whenever people were involved she just couldn't do it.
"We can't just let whoever did this get away with it! We have to tell some one!" said fives.
"But who do we Tell?" asked Rex in a rhetorical manor.
(y/n) looked up, "tell no one. We weren't meant to see this today."
They all understood what she was asking. Also they couldn't say anything if they wanted to because they weren't meant to be here either.

Even when the war ended they never forgot this day.

Right so idk what this is, I found this song and it just fitted perfectly in my mind with clone Wars? And I sucked at moving it from my head into text. I dunno hoped ya liked It. Basically when (y/n) is giving that really cringing speech she's basically saying the chorus of the song.
