Chapter 4

CHAPTER FOUR

"Alright, I have to go now, see you in the classroom later!" Rico said after he answered a call, mukhang medyo balisa siya pero kahit ganoon ay naggawa niya pa ring guluhin ang buhok ko bago siya umalis.

Tumango lamang si Emy sa kaniya nang tapunan niya ito ng tingin, her gazed followed him until he exited the cafeteria. Sino kaya ang kausap niya at bigla na lang siyang nagmamadali? Well, I should not care, right? It's not my business anyway.

Emy and I continued our talk as we eat. Our topics were very random that it leads to another topic too.

Nang matapos kami ay agad kaming naglakad papunta sa classroom, since wala na naman kaming gagawin at malapit na rin mag-ring ang bell. Marami kaming nakakasalubong and almost all of them would look at us and start mumbling something I don't know. I'm not chismosa, okay? Well, I was earlier but not all the time, however, I know that their topic is us once again.

"Next time, 'wag kang basta-bastang aalis na walang paalam, okay? I was worried sick earlier!" sabi ni Emy, frowning as we take the flight of stairs.

Wait, I left without her earlier? Maybe that was why I was also alone in the clinic! Pero bakit? I'm confused!

"Where did I go earlier?" I asked. Bakit hindi ko rin matandaan?

She looked bothered for a second, and started to hit herself on her head. "Gosh, Emy! He warned you about this and you kept opening about it!"

"Huh? Pardon?" kumunot ang noo ko, didn't fully hear what she said.

"A-ah, nothing! Nag-cr ka kasi kanina, hehe," she said, smiling. Kinamot niya ang kanyang ulo at inayos ang salamin bago nag-iwas ng tingin sa akin.

I squinted my eyes at her, hmm, something seems really suspicious. "You sure?"

Tumango siya sa akin, I nodded too, kahit na pinaghihinalaan pa siya ng kaunti. Hopefully she doesn't lie to me, pero may mataas na tyansa na ganon nga lalo na't hindi pa naman kami ganoong ka-close. We just met today, duh! But still, a part of me seemed to have trusted her already, she's immediately had her place with me.

Nakarating kami sa classroom ng hindi na nag-uusap. It was like we agreed that we wouldn't want to talk about it though we literally didn't talk.

Umupo na siya sa upuan niya, while I continued walking through the back, til I reach my chair. Luckily, wala pa ang dalawa kong katabi kaya inilabas ko muna ang libro ko, I decided to do so since the professor isn't here yet either.

I was in the middle of the good part where the lead male was confessing his love to the lead female when I heard someone call me.

"Miss Zinnia!"

"Wait! I'm already on the good part!" I said, not looking at the person who called me. I don't understand why people constantly interrupt me when I'm reading. Can't they see that I'm busy?

Maya-maya pa ay bahagyang dumilim sa tapat ko, causing me to be distracted. I looked up and I froze when I saw our professor with her raised brows, looking at me. Uh-oh.

"Oh, Miss! I'm sorry!" I said, embrassed that I had brought that attitude of mine here. Ugh, Zin! Hindi ko napansin na nandito na pala ang professor namin! I was too engrossed to the book I'm reading that I didin't even notice everyone arriving. I closed my eyes, waiting for her to scold me big time, pero walang dumating kaya sinilip ko siya.

"Well, I hope that doesn't happen again," simpleng saad nito bago bumalik sa una. She glanced at my sides first though. I noticed that the two are here already too.
