Chapter 25

"Finally, the real witch."

I was about to say something again when I suddenly felt the ground under me disappear. It felt like I was flying! I looked down and saw that I was floating in the air as the school became smaller and smaller in my sight and indeed I am flying—we are!

I observed myself on how would I react with being up here with someone I don't even know and somehow, being up here with him didn't make me feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Rather, I felt like I can trust him. He has the familiar aura around him at hindi ko matukoy kung bakit.

"Why are you not complaining, real witch?" he asked after a minute of silence. Rinig ko rin ang pagbibiro sa boses niya nang itanong niya iyon.

"I don't know, too. Somehow, being up her with you doesn't make me feel like I'll be in danger.And...you have this certain familiar thing with you pero 'di ko malaman kung saan ko nakuha 'yang thought na 'yan." I said in a matter of factly manner.

I felt him smile. "Of course, you won't feel unsafe with me. I am your cousin, ya know?"

Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi niya. What? He's..he's my cousin?!

He slowly led me down to the woods as I try to process what I just heard. I know my face shows full confusion.

I immediately looked at him when we're finally down, trying to find any similarity with my features or my parents. I squinted my eyes as I walked around him, examining his whole physique up and down.

Dahil doon ay napansin ko ang pagkakahawig niya kay Papa! He doesn't look a lot like me because most of my features are like Ma's.

"Ano? Did you see the similarities between me and tito Zinder?" tanong nito nang makarating ulit ako sa kaniyang harap. He's also raising his brows up and down while having the pogi sign under his chin, making him look like a dork, for me, at least.

I just scoffed and didn't answer, walking away from him. Sa ugali pa lang at hitsura, alam na alam ko na agad kung saan siya pingalihi at nagmana.

I heard his footsteps behind me as I walk away from the woods. Hindi ko alam kung saan niya ako dinala but I know that I have to go back now. Late na ako sa next class kung nagtuloy ba sila ng klase matapos ang gulong ginawa nitong pinsan ko. Emy must be so worried about me.

"Huy." Rinig kong tawag niya makalipas ang ilang minutong katahimikan.

I didn't gave him my attention as I look around, still trying to find a way out.

"Zinnia." Muli niyang tawag sa akin. Hindi ko ulit pinansin.

Bakit pa kaya niya kailangang manggulo sa school, eh, ipapakilala lang naman pala niya ang sarili sa akin. Ano 'yon, gusto niya special siya?

Hinila niya ako paharap sa kaniya kaya nang tuluyan ko na siyang maharap ay inirapan ko siya. Paano na lang kung may ibang nadamay sa kaartehan nitong lalaking 'to?

"Aw, grabe!" sabi niya nang makita ang pag-irap ko.

"Why did you do that?" tanong ko sa kaniya. He became serious after what I had asked.

"I know someone's pretenfing to be you...the witch, and I know I have to do something about that," he said and smirked.

"That girl is a vampire, a faker, and she's annoying me." Umirap pa siya sa kawalan pagkatapos niyang sabihin 'yon. Ang taray!

I sighed. "That was dangerous and paano kung may ibang naapektuhan nung ginawa mo, huh?"

Umiling siya. "Nope, no one will be. I know you remember how I had put some barriers there, right? No one can enter there aside from the three of us, I wore a cloakn to pretende to be her 'ally' at hindi ko naman inakala na ganoon pala siya kadaling utuin! Just one call and saying how she's my boss and she already believed it! Uto-uto!" tumawa pa siya pagkatapos niyang sabihin 'yon.

I sighed. Tumngo na lang ako dahil wala naman akong maiitanggi. Can't believe she's also a fool like her two friends! Nakakainis silang lahat!

Just as I was about to ask him to bring me back to school, I realized that I still don't know his name while he already knew mine!

"What's your name, by the way?" I asked him.

Nanlaki ang mata niya s sinabi ko. Unti-unti ay napahawak siya sa kaniyang dibdib na para bang nananakit ito. My eyes widened at the sight. 'Wag mong sabihin na may sakit siya?!

"Y-You don't even know my name!"

I winced when he said that, but laughed when I realized what he's doing. Grabe! I really thought he was sick!

"I'm sorry, okay? Parang wala akong kilalang kapamilya bukod kila Mama at Papa!"

"Zion. My name is Zion, Zinnia."

We talked about random things when I realized na masyado na kaming tumatagal! That's when we decided to fly back to school. That's the easiest way to go back than finding a way out of these woods. I know that they are—well, maybe not all—worried about me already. Lalo na dahil hindi nila alam kung sino ang lalaking kumuha sa akin at saan niya ako dinala.

I waved my hand in fron of me when we land. Kailangan kong tanggalin sa harap ko ang gabok that flew because of Zion's absurd landing. Ang arte! Feeling helicopter?

I saw Rico, Red and Emy there, talking to someone, parang galit sila at nag-aalala, siguro dahil nga sa nangyari. Napalingon sila nang napabahing ako dahil sa gabok. I was about to look up at them again nang makita ang malaking butas na pinagtatayuan namin. That's when I realized na siguro'y mas maarte ng landing nitong si Zion kanina para lumindol at mag-cause ng ganito kalaking butas sa lupa!

"Zin!" tawag ni Emy at inilagay niya agad ako sa likuran niya, as if protecting me from him while shooting daggers on my cousin. Tumawa lang ang huli at lumapit sa amin. Humigpit ang hawak ni Emy sa akin, para bang natatakot pero nilagpasan lang siya ni Zion. I was shocked when he pulled me away from Emy like I was just a piece of paper being torn off of its pad.

He suddenly hugged me sideways and kissed the side of my head.

Halata ang gulat sa mata ng tatlo nang makita ang ginawang iyon ni Zion. I even saw the two boys clenching their fists out of I-don't-know feeling and looks like they want to barge but they did not move a single muscle.

Zion put his mouth closer to my ear and I swear, it may look like he's doing something like kissing me when he's just telling me something!

"They judged you and made you jealous, right? Now, it's payback time." He smirked at the two boys after that at inakbayan na lang ako. He even winked at Emy and I saw how her eyes windened more—if its possible—when he did that to her and she looked at me, confused.

I just smiled a little. Finally, another ally I can fully trust.
