"Good morning, Sabrina."
Tipid akong ngumiti kay Zeke at tumayo para sundan siya sa office niya. Nakakailang kasi na tingnan siya pagkatapos ko siya takbuhan sa restroom non.
Bakit niya ba kasi sasabihin 'yon? May gusto ba siya sa akin?
"Uhm, e 'to po 'yung schedule niyo-" He cut me off.
"If you are thinking of avoiding me, please don't." Seryoso niyang sabi. "If you don't want to date me, just say it. I won't be mad."
Napayuko ako. "Ba-Bakit mo naman ako gustong maka-date? M-May g-gusto ka ba sa akin?" Nauutal na tanong ko, hindi pa rin nakatingin sa kaniya.
Hindi naman niya siguro ako aayain kung wala siyang gusto sa akin 'di ba? O baka naman mali lang ang iniisip ko.
He stood up from his seat and walked towards me. Kinabahan agad ako.
"Do you think I'll ask you to date me if I don't like you?" He said, looking straight at my eyes.
"Y-You like me?"
He bit his lips and smirked. "Yes," he sighed. "I like you, Sabrina Lynne."
"You can't like me." I said with finality.
"Why not?" He raised a brow.
Because I like someone else..
"Because I am your secretary and you are my 'boss'." I exclaimed.
He smirked and went even closer to me. "Yes, you are my secretary and I am your boss. But that doesn't mean that we can't be together."
I sighed heavily. I don't want to tell him that I like someone else, it doesn't feel right.
"We.. just can't, Zeke. I'm sorry." I looked away.
He stared at me. "Do you.. somehow, like someone else?"
Agad akong napatingin sa kaniya at lumunok. Nanliit ang mata niya na para bang sinusuri ako.
Umiling ako. "W-Wala. I'm just not yet ready to date." I lied.
Zeke is a good guy. He is the type of person who will be chased by girls. Hindi na niya kailangang humanap ng babae dahil mga babae mismo ang hahanap sa kaniya. He's my ideal guy, to be honest. He is kind, responsible, smart, sweet. Lahat na nasa kaniya. But if it's not Axton I will not date anyone.
I like Zeke, but as a friend only.
