Next morning, Kiara woke up early and by the time she was joined by her group, she was already done eating her breakfast and was currently laid on the floor with a pencil.

-Good morning.- she said without bothering to look at them, her left hand making occasional taps and her right writing letters in her mother's journal.-

-Did you figure it out? -asked a voice she recognised as Liam's.-

-It's just an older version of our communication system, what makes it tricky is that it was previously taught only in Khaeron before it evolved to a simpler version for all of Nova Prime.- she commented noticing with the corner of her eye that he had moved to sit next to her.- A bit ambiguous but nothing we could not decipher.-

Liam said nothing and instead leaned completely in his arms as he, too laid in the floor close to her, to see her notes and quickly realising that it was more ambiguous than he had thought.

-Seems like a combination of strange riddles in a less perfected version of our system.- he admitted as he snatched the journal from Kiara's grip, earning a complaint from her.- Thankfully you are her daughter because for me it would have been possible to translate it but not to understand it.-

-That ain't true.- she mumbled snatching the journal from the dark blonde's hands.- I barely even have memories of her, haven't seen her since I was a little less than four and I don't have any idea if she's alive.-

Liam hummed as he stood up, quickly pondering if what he was about to do would drop her mood to the ground, but he chose to do it regardless, so spreading his legs a little further than the auburn-haired, he bent down and grasped her waist, causing her to yelp and before she could argue, he finished bending down his knees as he pulled her from beneath him and onto her feet.

-You need a break.- he excused himself the instance she turned around to face him with killer eyes.- can't have our watcher's sight decrement.-

-And your idea for a break is? -she inquired, crossing her arms in front of her chest and moving closer to him.-

None of them spoke and they soon engaged in a staring battle until Dante yelled from the kitchen.

-We can leave if you want to be alone! -the black-haired had exclaimed.-

Kiara's eyes narrowed in defiance towards Liam who blushed slightly at Dante's statement.

-What if we share our findings? -Jasper interrupted to prevent a possible blood-shed so early in the morning.- Kiara would you please enlighten us?-

-There's not a lot I can share because it's taking me a while to decipher just one page.- the redhead started as she walked towards the kitchen.- You see, my mother wrote the first pages in the common language but full of riddles and after a while, for some reason she switched to an archaic and ambiguous version of our pulsation language used for tactical communication.-

-Why would she have the need of writing in a code that just some minority of people in Khaeron and as of lately, Aella understand? -Jasper wondered as he stuffed some tropical fruits in his mouth.- But it feels as if that's not the weirdest thing that you noticed right?-

-The weirdest thing so far is that I keep reading something about her mother and an investigation.- Kiara commented with a slight frown.- I have no idea what she is talking about though, my grandmother was murdered when my mother was a child.-

-By Egani people and the main suspects were Alburgs.- added Dante, biting his lip slightly.- Or at least that's what the records say about her.-

-Which would explain why your grandfather disowned your mother when she told him she was going to marry your father, and consequently proceeded to treat you the way he does ever since he found out about you in Khaeron.- Liam stated, placing his right hand on Kiara's left shoulder.-
