"-I definitely did not sign up for me to get dressed up like a nun! -yelled Reyla.-
-You do not look like a nun Rey.- sighed Stefan as he rolled his eyes.- And before you say anything, we also do not look like monks.-
-You look like extremely hot monks though.- she whined.-
-Enough Rey.- scolded Liam.- It is necessary.-
-I did say you would hate me.- laughed Arya as she noticed how Reyla tried to bicker with Liam but he stopped her mid-way.-
-She is just not used to this style.- Kiara said patting her shoulder.-
-You are? -the anxious blonde teenager scoffed.-
-No, but I also don't care.- the almost brunette shrugged.-
They were wearing similar white long-sleeved jumpsuits that had leather belts in their waists, along with leather boots and on top of that a sleeve-less ash-grey coat.
Their weapons, as usual, were placed in their backs and hidden with their coats they had daggers.
The reason why Reyla kept whining about it? Firstly, because it was summer attire and it did not provide enough warm for anybody that was not used to the weather and secondly, because to her, it seemed to fail to showcase the few curves that she had, her being the smallest in size and height of the whole group."
A week passed since then and although Reyla still complained occasionally of the attire, the truth is that, at least in Kiara's opinion, to feel cold while working was better than tolerating a man who thought of himself as a personification of some random beauty god but that somehow still manage to maintain a tongue so sharp that they did as much as breath wrong and he would bite back with a comeback that would leave them speechless.
"Utterly annoying." Kiara thought as she walked behind the man whose smile was so white that it even seemed to have a small little ball of light on one of his teeth.
-I know what you are thinking.- Liam whispered to her when he caught up.-
-Oh really? -she scoffed.- Illuminate me please.-
Liam shrugged before gifting her a pointed look that served as a warning of the consequences of making him laugh like a 'voice strained goose' as the blonde buffoon had told him once.
-Do not say it.- Stefan warned as he gave them a glance.- We all think the same but there is nothing else we can do besides comply with his whims.-
-Why do I feel like I am taking care of a toddler inside of a man's body though.- Kiara muttered to herself but Liam, who was next to her almost chocked trying to contain his laugh.-
-Ara please.- he begged as he tried his best not to laugh at the man who was shamelessly checking his reflection on a window.-
-Oh.- the man yelped, causing them all to watch him, grasping their weapons in an instance.- I forgot to tell you.-
-Tell us what Lord Dan? -Kiara asked as she approached him.-
-There is a ball.- he grinned, grabbing her forearm.- And it is clear that you all need to go.-
By the moment he had finished his statement, the man was surrounded by every single alpha, each one of them fashioning a cold stare as if he had just sentenced them all to death.
-When is it? -Jasper asked.-
-Two days from now.- he shrugged.- Since I am staying with my family for the rest of the day and tomorrow, you are all free to go deal with yourselves.-
