The three days had passed, each of them performing daily bounties to gather funds while they waited for the time to pass; regarding her wolf bounty, Kiara had occasionally stumbled upon the Alpha wolf while he hunted and she complied with her duties.

The wolf acknowledged her existence but would not dare move closer to her, she figured that her weapons still made him uncomfortable but as they all waited for the Agent to appear in the frontier, she noticed a pup that had attached to her and whether she admitted it or not causing her to curse under her breath.

Liam watched her with confusion but before he could ask her what was wrong, Kiara sent him a look.

-I won't take long.- she told him as she ignored her team and walked towards the forest.- Come out beauty.-

She bent down as she waited for the alpha pup to walk towards her, from the times she had seen the wolves and their pups, it was the first time since the moment they met that she saw the small female displaying an aura of what she truly was, an Alpha through and through.

-We cannot do this girl.- she softly said as she raised her hand to pet the pup, who at first wanted more but then she seemed to realise what the redhead was doing and immediately took a step farther from her.- Please I need you to go back to your pack, I cannot take you with me.-

Kiara was not entirely sure if the little wolf could understand her but by the look on her yellow eyes, she definitely had and was not happy with Kiara.

-Just try to understand me would you? -she sighed exasperatedly.- How can I possibly hide a wolf while I am trying to go incognito?-

Before either female could react, she heard her members asking for her, worry and confusion becoming increasingly eminent on their tones. Finally, Kiara stood up and before she left, she felt as the pup gently nudged her ankle, causing her golden eyes to drift towards her yellow's.

Just by the eye connection, she understood what the little alpha wanted her to understand, "this ain't the last you have heard of me," and so the white with grey spots wolf left from her eye range.

-There you are.- said Jasper as he approached her.- What were you doing?-

Kiara smiled slyly at him as she walked past him towards the small group of people gathered in the shadows, surrounding a hooded figure.

-Let's go, we don't have much time.- she hooded figure sissed.- Our opening won't last any longer.-

Last night as they discussed how they were even going to find their courier, a note slipped below their door; it was a cryptic message for them which, in summary, meant that they would meet in the entrance before dawn but Kiara would have wished that the wall and frontier posts did not have any light, but they did and the lighting made crossing that wall unnoticed a nuisance.

But the strange female figure had a point, she had probably done some sort of distraction so they did not have enough time to sneak in, before the guards came back to fulfil their vigilance duties, because they had all noticed was oddly unguarded unlike the three days that they had spent in the NZ.

Normally, in the sector they were currently sneaking in, were guards in land, and watchers from the post tower. Every sign of confusion vanished from their minds as they saw smoke emerging from nearby along with faint orange lights that were reflected on their faces. "When did she set up that fire?" wondered Liam as they all glanced at the hodded figure who kept motioning to swiftly make their ways towards her.

As they took turns dashing towards her, they realised that the place that had been burning was none other than the camp where some guards - they supposed - resided. But it wasn't until they made their way towards a dark cabin that the figure spoke once again.

-I suggest that we wait for a couple of hours until they calm themselves down for me to show you the realm.- she said with an amused tone.-

-I am not sure that I want to know what did you do.- muttered Stefan.-

-Let us say that I made it look like a prank that went wrong.- she shrugged before adding to all and none of us in particular.- I cannot recognise any of you with your masks but I left some clothes for you all here, I will come later for you.-

Without giving them a chance to reply she left the place dismissively, and after sharing a quick look, they all separated and while some of them inspected the place, Kiara sat down with Liam both thinking about the same thing: "I cannot recognise any of you with your masks."

They knew that the courier had met them beforehand but they could not think of who, when and where.

-Guess that we will have to wait.- he sighed, his mind running as wild as Kiara's.- I cannot think of anyone and last time we were in this realm things did not come out well.-

-She seemed to have problems knowing who the leader was though.- Kiara mumbled.- Which leads me into believing that she met us before you know...-

-Yeah.- he muttered, letting his head drop in his arms as he was laying on top of a couch.-

Hours later someone knocked on the door and called them to go out, all six of them were still uncomfortable with the issue of changing attire as Rheani clothes were very far from what they were used to, except for the fact that the clothes were very flowy and light, like in Khaeron, only secured by belts here and there.

As soon as Liam opened the door, still awkward for the loose and semi-transparent tied-up chemise he was wearing, his grey eyes widened with recognition. Since the blonde stood dumbfounded in the door before being dragged outside by a tanned female, the rest, alarmed jolted outside just as Kiara opened a path for her from within them and was also struck by the sight of the female who was nudging Liam.

Her golden eyes met her bronze ones and she saw the instance the other female she knew very well, recognised her and smiled towards her.

-Long time no see, Lee, Ara.- she said, her sly smile quickly becoming a frown when the rest surrounded her.- You... I don't know though.-

Liam and Kiara looked at each other without any expressions, trying to come up with what to say to their old acquaintance.

-Wait.-she said.- The floor has ears.-

-The floor? -asked Jasper with confusion.-

-Let's go somewhere safer.- she said, motioning them to follow her.-

As they walked behind her, they were appreciating the green landscapes that filled Rhean's scenery, the rock paths that connected the village and a surprisingly beautiful fountain in the middle of it and they realised that behind the beautiful village and the crops were astonishing mansions that they had assumed were the nobility's households. Pretending ignorance at the small camp that was raging with fire just hours before.

-Rodrick.- said the brunette the instance they stopped at a bar.-

-Welcome Freya.- the sturdy man said.- New friends or challengers?-

-Old friends.- she shrugged.-

-Oh, welcome to you too then.- he said before letting them inside.-

They shared knowing looks and followed Freya to a table in the corner, particularly surrounded by drunk people, from which they could recognise some as soldiers.

-Now, please explain to me who are they? -she asked after they were served beers.- Where is my pal, Luke?-

-About that.- Liam mumbled.- I guess you were not updated on our mission did you?-

-What happened? -she asked with a cold tone.- What are you hiding and who are them?-

-The new alphas.- Kiara sighed.-

-Kia...-Liam started.-

-They deserve to know Liam! -she interrupted him harshly before mumbling.- They deserve to know...-

-New alphas? -the brunette murmured.-

-We are the only alphas left alive, from the last time you saw us.- Kiara mumbled as she stared directly at Liam, warning him not to lie.-

-What? -Freya said with disbelief.-

-It was an ambush.- Liam finally mumbled, shrugging some of his beer.- The whole thing was an ambush.-
