Explosions kept blowing up all around them as they bolted through the halls of the pantheon, looking for a way out of the building and hoping with all their might that someone would at least cover them long enough to run since Dmitri, Freya, Viktor, Liam and James were all busy currently killing every single hooded entity that they stumbled on.

Viktor and Liam being particularly compatible with each other to the point that, should they have not been running, they would have probably stopped and stare at them in amazement.

Right now, they could see in the distance as Liam quickly switched his spear to one side twirling it in the process before suddenly halting and making a wide dash, eliminating a group of hooded figures in the process, Viktor quickly slashing another one that tried to attack Liam's back with his sword just before the latest bent down enough for Viktor to grab impulse and jump over him, kicking another one in the process and landing just in the perfect position to stab another.

Apparently, their even fight two nights before had served as means of knowing each other's fighting style to the extent that they knew what the other was planning to do before they did it just by their stance, so what looked like a bloodshed to everyone, felt like a heated dance to those two.

-How did they find us if nobody knew about this! -Hailee hissed, as she carried her wounded mother with a weapon in hand that she had retrieved from the corpses.-

-Not even a council member? -Matthew inquired as he slashed someone out of his way, his son promptly running past him to engage in a bloody battle with a small group upfront, though his ability with swords was obvious.-

Behind them Dmitri and Freya stood covering them, the man covering the woman as she fired arrows to the figures that were coming from behind.

But outside? Outside was nothing else than a mess, and that was realised promptly by the leaders as soon as they stepped out of the emergency passage.

The forest was lit up, there was blood all over the place and there was debris surrounding the structure from which they had came from, though they were pleased to see their escorts fighting together metres away from them.

From one side they saw Reyla with a double-knife spear, switching between decapitating figures and stabbing them, her hair completely covered in blood alongside Artemis and Tara, the first which was currently manoeuvring between enemies and stabbing them with a short sword and the latter who slashed someone's hand out before performing some sort of backflip with that same figure making sure that it landed skull-first to the floor.

From the other were Jullian and Dante, both stunning their enemies and disposing them promptly with flashy weapons, followed closely by Jasper and Stefan who switched between swords and their reinforced fists as they tried to make their way towards them.

To top it all off, there was a rain of arrows coming from an indistinguishable point since they came from seemingly everywhere.

As soon as the structure collapsed and Dmitri snatched Fallon from his aunt's arms, Liam yelled to them to come over and cover.

And thus they started making their ways to the group of leaders and rulers that moved fast to the woods, led by Damian Marrick and Audrey Pearce.

-You are not going to reveal that! -Darren yelled after a while of them inside of the woods.-

-We don't have any options, Khaeron is probably the last place that would be attacked should it happen.- Audrey silenced him when they were stopped by a bigger and sturdier version of the same figures they have been dealing with.- Imra.-

"There's no need for that, look." the wolf replied her much to the astonishment of the nobles present, when suddenly a dagger fell just in the middle of the creature's skull, followed promptly by a redhead that landed just in it further embedding it onto it and backflipping from her position as the body started to fall with a loud thud.
