Several kilometres far from them, a black-haired boy was entering a pavilion built on a lake, preparing himself to meet his Commander once again.
Taking a deep breath he entered, instantly noticing a brunet man standing in the middle of the room, wearing a navy tunic with silver patterns and even from afar he could notice his tense posture, the same man also turned around the instance he heard the doors and his sea-blue eyes clashed with the boy's black ones.
-Welcome back Lysander. - he greeted gesturing the boy to walk closer to him which he did in a minute. - Any news? -
-Lord Marrick. -he greeted with a curt bow before he grabbed his pouch and started rummaging inside it to find a folded parchment which he handed out promptly. - Alpha sends this. -
-Alpha? -he inquired scanning the letter which was obviously encoded.- So you found them, where and how were they? -
-They were in Eganis and seemed fine, though they hide pretty often, have somehow darkened their hairs and they have a ranger with them.- Lysander promptly informed, arising curiosity in the man in front of him that wondered how and why were they in that realm.-
-And what did the rest say? -he scoffed, hints of annoyance clear on his tone as he eyed the parchment momentarily.-
-They were sceptical at first but both of them and their elders agreed on what you requested regardless.- the boy informed him.- The meeting is a day and a half from now sir.-
-Thank you Lysander you are free to go now.- the man dismissed just as the boy bowed once again and left the room just as his best friend walked towards the building he had just exited from.-
-I didn't know that you were back Lys.- greeted Jayden with a smirk.- How are you?-
The almost sixteen-year-old teenager had grown out his hair to the point where he could tie his messy locks up in a bun – which he currently had due to the heat, he had gone from scrawny to skinny muscular and even had some freshly made cuts from his time spent training with his newest team, though the highlight of his appearance to Lysander were his eyes.
His previously blue dominant hazel eyes were now mainly gold with blue specs, and that not only amazed Lysander, it also confused him because, in the Marrick House, colours outside of blue and even green were extremely rare and uncommon and even in his mother's lineage it was.
"Where did the golden come from?" he wondered before he was dragged out of his amazement by the worried teenager who was gently nudging the boy.
-Lysander are you fine buddy? - the brunette inquired.-
-Yes it's just, your eyes.- Lysander stuttered which made Jayden laugh slightly.- I don't remember your eyes looking like that the last time I saw you...-
-They have been changing for a while but during the time I spent in training they morphed into this.- he shrugged.- Did you find my cousin? -
-Yes, she said that she does not know when she will come back and that she's sorry.- Lysander told him with a grimace.- She and her team seem fine though.-
-Thank you for that Lys.- Jayden replied before patting his right shoulder and giving him a curt nod.- I won't detain you any longer, rest well you deserve it.-
-Thank you Jay, you too.- the boy politely replied and then they parted ways.-
Inside of the pavilion, Damian Marrick was frowning as he read the letter from Kiara and that frown only intensified when he saw Jayden enter the complex with a grim expression and questioning eyes.
-Jayden I don't...- Damian began to dismiss him but stopped abruptly when the teenager raised a hand in the air.-
-Stop right there.- the teenager interrupted.- I won't have any of this, you don't get to tell me that my mother sent a message and then act as if she had vanished out of thin air.-
