Tuesday dawned rainy and warmly cold. Lisa was yelled awake by Somi for the start of the first class, which, as usual, she was late for. The Thai girl barely had time to take a shower without Somi cursing all her past lives.

"You are a terrible roommate, it doesn't even serve to wake up early!" She complained putting on her shoes and combing her hair at the same time. Lisa just rolled her eyes when she left the room wiping her hair with the towel. "In addition to being antisocial and having the poster of a man who already died glued to your bed, of course."

"At least I don't come back at dawn stinking of sex." Lisa countered smiling victoriously when Somi opened and closed her mouth.

"Sorry if I'm being a teenager with hormones to be explored." said the younger girl, closing her eyes and pointing the hairbrush menacingly at the Thai before entering the bathroom.

They used to be like that, they argued like dogs and cats, but they loved each other unconditionally as sisters. Lisa, Somi and Jennie used to be best childhood friends in Miami until they decided their dreams were in NY. Jennie with her passion for the cello got a spot in Juilliard. Somi's father was a lawyer and very close to the Manoban family, which led Lisa and Somi to enter Columbia together.

The two managed to get to Mr. Manson's class in time before he closed the door mercilessly. He was one of the professors most hated by Lisa, the 39-year-old man, with hair aka Kurt Cobain and hideous eyes question not letting her enter his class when she was late and that only served to irritate Lisa even more.

The problem is that that day the Thai was in the air in the teacher's class, which served as a poor copy of a 1970 rock star; she had hardly been able to sleep with her thoughts turned to room 208. It was like a virus that had infected her body and was now about to explode if she didn't find a cure.

Me: I will have lunch with you today.

She strategically sent the message to Jennie under the classroom table. She tried her best to pay attention in class, but ended up failing when she started drawing red bows on her notebook. This was crazy, Lisa was sure of that.

The cell phone vibrated with an answer.

Jennie: I thought you only worked three times a week?

Okay, now she needed a convincing excuse. I couldn't just say that I would be looking for a girl.

A girl.

It had never crossed her mind to feel what she was feeling for a girl, especially one that even her face had never seen. It is true that she never fell in love, so she couldn't say for sure her sexuality. Hell, she never had time to think about it. She was always busy, studying to become someone at her father's level. "Study, and one day you can run our company," were his words to a thirteen-year-old Lisa.

Me: I want to spend time with you, that's all.

No, it wasn't convincing at all. And Jennie being Jennie, she wouldn't let any of that go when they met.

Jennie: Ok ... You killed someone and I need to hide the body, is that it?

She tried to stifle her laughter with her hand and received some suspicious looks from students.

Me: It could be.

She put her cell phone in her backpack and looked back at the professor who was going to work on Criminal Law for the next week, but Lisa knew that afterwards she would take it with Somi because now, at that moment, she was too busy playing the music with her fingers on the table. The one that the red bow girl played. She wondered if she would have been stupid for leaving there before the girl turned to her, the fear she felt at that moment pushed her away from the room. She didn't want that. She knew it was wrong, but at the same time she became totally right.
