January 11, 2015 – First year of college.

Chaeyoung opened her eyes, feeling uncomfortable with the lack of heat against her body. The first thing she saw as soon as her eyes got used to the light was the silhouette of her girlfriend sitting on the floor beside the bed, hugging her bent legs and her chin on her knee. The Thai girl watched her, as if she had been watching over her sleep for a long time. Chaeyoung snuggled a little closer to the bed and the two were silent looking at each other with affection; there was also a fault in those dull eyes, Chaeyoung knew that Lisa wanted to tell her something, but thinking about the options made her stomach tighten.

“Hi.” The older girl said very quietly, as if there were several people around her, she wanted only Lisa to hear her.

“Hi,” Lisa replied, her husky voice was sad.

"How long have you been wake up?"

"Two hours and a half.“ She smiled weakly and raised her chin to her knee. “I woke up with a headache and your mother offered me an aspirin."

Chaeyoung was surprised that her mother knew they spent the night together in her room. Lisa still wore Columbia’s sweatshirt and boxer panties that made her look almost childish despite her tired face and visible dark circles.

"I’m going to the bathroom to brush my teeth, okay?"

Lisa nodded and the blone girl jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom with some difficulty due to sleep. She had spent most of the night watching over her beloved’s sleep, falling asleep just before dawn. It didn’t even take half an hour and she had took a quick shower and brushed her teeth. Lisa was now sitting on the bed with her back against the headboard searching something on her cell phone, Chaeyoung imitated her and then pulled her girlfriend in for a tender kiss, just to make her nostalgic for those delicious lips.

"Chae?" Lisa called to her when she leaned her head against the headboard to look at it lazily, her cell phone being forgotten on the nightstand. “I’m sorry about yesterday, I shouldn’t have come here drunk …"

"Love … Hey! Are you really apologizing for that? I wanted to kill you, but only for driving drunk. Do you know how dangerous it is, Lisa? You are my girlfriend, my job is to take care of you. What kind of wife will I be in ten years if I don’t take care of my little white ball?"

The Thai girl eyes' shone and it was enough for Chaeyoung to smile shyly.

"You’ll be my wife?“ Lisa’s voice broke Chaeyoung’s heart, almost as if she couldn’t believe her words. “I don’t deserve you, Chae …"

Chaeyoung sat on the bed facing her girlfriend and let her hands rest on her stomach.

"Want to tell me what happened yesterday?"

The Thai girl sighed loudly, her eyes were already filled with tears before she even started to count.

The event was actually at the home of one of Marco Manoban’s associates. The place was full of lawyers with their wives and children, all well dressed and upper class; Of course, Marco always made a point of relating to high society. Lisa was beside her father, counting the minutes leaving that place, the dress on her body was uncomfortable, people were a pain in the ass, as they have always been since she was known to people and accompanied her father in events like this.

The need to pick up her cell phone and talk to Chaeyoung was consuming her.

They had been in that house for almost four hours and the only useful thing to do was to eat and drink as much as they could while their father ignored her existence and talked to her friends bragging about all their money. She wondered where her mother was at that moment, then realized that she had probably made a lame excuse and gone to Jules to take care of her youngest daughter, it was the only thing she had the courage to do.
