Lisa opening her eyes and receiving light through the window was like being hit directly on the head by daggers. She had already forgotten what it felt like to wake up in the morning after a night with alcohol in her blood, the heaviness in her head, the lack of reflex and the pain in her body. The room was not so bright, the curtains were closed, blocking some of the light, but still the feeling of having been run over by a truck was present.
Lisa blinked a few times until she realized that she was lying on her back, legs and arms spread out on the double bed like the most spacious person in the world. She also noticed that, she did not know whether luckily or unfortunately, she was in Chaeyoung’s room due to the red wall exposing all the shared and interrupted dreams of the past. At that moment there was no room for regrets in her head. The Thai sat wishing she hadn’t done so when she felt a sharp stab in the head. Damn drink. Damn Olivia. Damn ballad. She scratched her eyes with the back of her hands and looked at everything around her; the room was impeccably tidy, everything was in its right place, except Chaeyoung. She wasn’t in bed, much less standing in front of the bed demanding explanations about last night as Lisa imagined it would be, on the contrary,
apparently, Chaeyoung had left the bed early to get her breakfast.
Again the retching hit her and narrowly did not have to run to the bathroom.
In the corner of the plate was a small card that said: Are they still your favorites? (: And as if that wasn’t enough, on top of the nightstand were some folded clothes and a painkiller packet with another note that said: I called Logan and told him you were at my house. He asked me to reassure you that he will take care of Ethan and come back when you feel good. Here are some clothes that can fit you, take a shower, and rest, it’s closed and ready to be yours (:
Points for Chaeyoung.
With grumbling, Lisa managed to get out of bed and walked to the bathroom for a long hot shower, letting the water wash away all the impurities that had accumulated in her body since last night. Chaeyoung’s clothes fit despite the blonde being a few inches taller; a white short-sleeved shirt and tight black pants. The Thai put on her boots and combed her wet hair, letting herself relax with the hot steam from the bathroom. It was just Chaeyoung, one of the sweetest people she’d ever met, the girl at the piano, from the old book titled Howling Hill, the girl with the most beautiful smile among angels. That same girl who became a safe and a little cold woman. The woman who, once again, was taking Lisa’s heart for herself.
After the shower, a full stomach and the medicine starting to take effect, Lisa decided it was time to look for Chaeyoung and ask for a ride home. The house was totally silent in every room, yet totally comfortable. Noticing now, the Thai was sure that that house was Chaeyoung’s description. Every single detail was millimeter in place, the furniture didn’t scream for luxury even though it was expensive and the comfort made Lisa want to live in that house as she once wished.
When she opened the front door, the Thai was greeted by a wonderful Sunday morning with birdsong and the delicious smell of nature. The Honda Accord was parked under a crooked tree. Lisa walked across the fluffy lawn to the stable and was not surprised to find Chaeyoung preparing the cell on the same black-haired horse the other day, as well as the clothes. Lisa did not fail to notice how sexy Chaeyoung was in those clothes taking care of her horse, she didn’t even remotely remember the shy Park Chaeyoung who made music with her heart.
When the blonde noticed Lisa’s presence, she did not fail to open a beautiful spontaneous smile simply because she knew that the Thai had not fled as she imagined, even though insecurity dominated her due to last night.
"Hey, you woke up.“ She turned completely to a shy Lisa. How beautiful could she be in the morning with a flushed face? Chaeyoung missed seeing her wake up and receive the immensity of the brown of her eyes.
