The cars formed a single line on the narrow street where the ballroom where Somi’s wedding party was held that night was located. The Thai girl was the reason for the congestion, her body kept her paralyzed in the middle of the street with an expression that varied between shock and sentimental conflicts, and her heart was beating wildly at the same speed as the taxi had started a few minutes earlier with a piece of her past.

That’s the way it is, you are living your life normally and the chances of your past knocking on your door are higher than we would like to imagine. Lisa’s heart was beating so hard that she was sure she could stop at any moment or escape through her open mouth from the rush. It had been a while since she felt as invaded as she did then, with her cells working fervently, her hands sweating cold and trembling, and her attention was only awakened when she heard a few more insistent horns and a male voice cursing.

The Thai girl turned scared to the amount of headlights in high light that blinded her and retreated to the sidewalk, finally releasing the street.

"What the fuck was that?“ Somi opened the door to the lounge with a huge scowl, followed by Jennie and Jisoo. She had a cake spatula in her hands and a murderous look. “Did you make a fucking statement to Park at my wedding? And there was still the madman of that disturbed person running and you after! What is that? Disney movie?"

Lisa took a few steps back, losing herself between Somi’s words. Her head was around Chaeyoung much more beautiful than she remembered, with more body and mature features.

"How dare you invite both of us and not warn me?" She snarled, furious that it was all her friend’s fault. “You knew we would meet, what the fuck Somi …!"

"Lisa?“ Jennie called, and only then the Thai girl remembered that the couple was also there. “God, you came back!"

Jennie did not give the Thai girl time to respond, then she threw herself into her arms in a longing embrace and the tears were not stopped. Whether they liked it or not, they had been friends for as long as they can remember, and seeing Lisa leave six years ago had not been an easy task for Jennie. Since then, they chatted via Skype and messages, but Lisa always deprived her of information about her personal life, just as Jules, her own sister, deprived her.

"You haven’t changed anything, Jennie.“ she smiled with emotion when she separated from her friend to measure her from top to bottom. “Except for that ring on your left finger.“ she observed. Jennie’s smile grew and she made room for a more respectful Jisoo who gave her a nod.

Despite the friendship they developed when they met, Jisoo was the only one between Somi and Jennie who didn’t know Lisa so well, and perhaps that was one of the reasons that made her apprehensive about the Thai girl. For Jisoo, Lisa’s attitude was wrong, however good it was. There is always another way out, and Lisa didn’t give Chaeyoung the option to be contacted, she made a decision without her girlfriend’s knowledge, just leaving it.

"I’m happy for you, Jisoo." Lisa smiled sheepishly. As much as her desire was to embrace her right there, she knew she couldn’t go beyond the woman’s limits.

Somi snorted and pointed her index finger threateningly at Lisa, but the door to the salon was opened again to reveal Jules in total rage. The youngest Manoban went after her sister, filling her with slaps and bad words that startled Jennie and Jisoo.

"You damn bastard! I trusted you and what did I get in return?" She shouted, punching Lisa in the chest again. “A missing sister who never has time to talk to me! Do you know what made me feel all these years? Do you realize what it was like to see Adam grow up without his aunt? Without having my sister around?"
