Lisa POV.

We arrived at the final destination of that present. I had blindfolded Chaeyoung halfway so she wouldn’t discover the surprise before we were there even under her complaints. I parked the car as close to the place as possible and turned off the headlights, sighing from the tiredness of the race a few minutes ago. It was a little windy, so I took my leather jacket from the back seat and slid it carefully over my girlfriend’s shoulders. She smiled in response and turned her head as if looking at me.

"Where we are? I know it’s in the woods, I can smell the trees and the water, which indicates that there is a river nearby."

I laughed heartily at her cleverness. Chaeyoung was an extremely intelligent girl with an acute instinct for important things.

I got out of the car and walked around opening the door to help her out as well.

"Okay. You got the first part right. Now tell me, what are the places of this type that we know?“ I made her intertwine her arm in mine to guide her to the destination.

She seemed to think a little, or feel a connection with nature, who knows? She could have magical powers and not have told me.

"You have my parents’ house, but I don’t think you would take me back there.“ She was silent while I helped her up the balcony steps. “It’s a country house, so it could be Jisoo’s chalet … No, you didn’t drive enough to be there." I raised my eyebrows at her cunning. “Oh no!“ she opened her mouth and let go of my arms to remove the blindfold. I hadn’t left, but when Chaeyoung wants something … “Lisa!"

I couldn’t help but laugh at the expression Chaeyoung made when she saw us standing in front of the abandoned house of her dreams.

“You bought this place?" She almost shouted.

“What? No! Jesus, Chaeyoung.“ I laughed at the idea, my father would certainly love to see the size of the hole in his account for the purchase of a house like that. “The surprise is inside."

“Oh, I figured. But, I don’t know … What do you mean?“ she joked holding my hand.

I just gave it with my tongue, because I was used to her jokes.

We entered the house which was pitch black. I turned on the flashlight I carried in my backpack and guided it up the stairs to the main room where one day we would have our strange red wall. I had to let go of her hand and take a few steps away to watch her reaction, and as always, it was lovely. Chaeyoung covered her mouth and was static with what she saw. And it was no small feat, Jennie, Jisoo and Somi needed a good reward for a job well done.

The room had been thoroughly cleaned and now smelled of citronella incense. The lighting had been improvised by candles around the room that ended at the balcony door. On the floor, just under the huge hole in the ceiling, there was a thick comforter lined as a mattress, four pillows and another folded comforter to cover ourselves. Jennie had left her radio on the battery with USB adapter from the balcony to make my plan work better.

I looked again at Chaeyoung, who had yet to make a sound. She remained in the same position, looking at everything as if she expected to wake up from a dream. So I approached and wrapped my arms around her waist, settling her head on my chest.

“I really need to know if you are well or if I need to take you to a doctor, blond girl.“ I asked stroking her hair.

Chaeyoung pulled her face away from my chest and held my face with both hands. Her eyes shone passionately and the smile that formed on those perfect lips was enough to get my worry out of the way.
