"Miss Chou.""Someone's waiting for you outside."
Just as Tzuyu thought that this day couldn't get worse, the universe seemed to have fun playing mind games with her for the nth time this week. Her usual bored and gloomy expression were replaced by an irritated one. Possibly from all the do's and don'ts Mina had instructed before she left for school.
"What is it this time?" She mutters lowly.
Sighing out, one of their housekeepers greeted her with a respectful bow right after she opens the door for acknowledgement. It took them a couple of seconds before finally taking that eye contact and a short conversation that Tzuyu was aiming for.
"Miss Chou, Miss Im was waiting downstairs. Should I tell her to go or-"
"Tzuyu!"
A familiar bunny-looking girl pops out from their grand staircase. Her left hand was waving at the two, and only one person reciprocated it with a more-timid gesture.
"Thanks, uhh." Nayeon squints her eyes as she approaches them closer.
"Miyeon."
"Miyeon! Yes, Miyeon!" Nayeon enthusiastically taps her shoulder twice before nodding. "Don't worry, I can handle this person's tantrums better than herself."
"A-are you sure?"
"Everything's fine."
Looking at both Nayeon and Tzuyu simultaneously, the said housekeeper didn't dared to question the two who were looking like yin and yang from afar.
"And what makes you come here?" Tzuyu opens up a topic after sensing the quietness around them. "Did Dad made you visit me himself? Is this another trick that he was hiding up against his sleeves? Are you-"
"Calm down, calm down! I'm not here to make an argument with you." Nayeon uses both of her hands to stop the rambling girl. "But I'm here to take you out on a date."
"A what?"
"A date." She repeats. "Not a romantic one, don't worry. But something to reconcile our friendship if... if we even have one." Her eyes suddenly found the cold hard ground interesting.
Tzuyu narrows her eyes into slits, completely ignoring the sincerity in Nayeon's voice. Just one day, they both got into a tangled mess. A mess that almost destroyed her sanity and hope for change. What made Nayeon think that she would agree this easily?
"Where?"
But for this instance, her lips had replied the unfamiliar way of responding to a certain question.
"I mean, make sure that this isn't Dad's doing. Or I'll have you be banned in this household." She coughs awkwardly.
"Aish, I knew you couldn't resist me."
Walking out the mansion with new clothes and more presentable look. Nayeon and Tzuyu enters a vehicle that was owned by Nayeon's family but had been rarely used.
"Really? Why did this seemed like this was last rode by your Dad in his twenties?"
"Yah, I had a couple of convertibles in our manor. I just needed to disguise since I'm also grounded, the same as you."
"Excuse me, I'm not-"
"Hush." Nayeon points up her index finger in front of Tzuyu's lips. "Don't argue. Save your breath for our friendly date later."
Rolling her eyes, Tzuyu remained sulking at the whole trip to the cafe that Nayeon wouldn't stop talking about.
"...and then their coffee-"
