Maybe I'm scared that you mean more to me than any other person. You are everything I think about, everything I need, everything I want.

A few days later, Megan was discharged from the hospital but she didn’t seem any bit recovered and her hatred seemed to have grown since then.

She resented Stella for reuniting with Sky while she lost her mother.

The Esoro family held Cassandra's burial immediately after Megan was discharged. The truth of her death was kept away from the media but considering the past, it didn’t stop the media from being suspicious.

The Esoro family watched the burial with the secret concern that any lack of care from them could land them in a grave like that.

The crowd mixed up after the burial ceremony and Brandon approached Becca. “Becca.”

“Detective,” Becca turned with a cryptic smile.

Brandon felt slightly irritated by the look on her face but he ignored it. “I…owe you an apology for accusing you of being the murderer. The evidence and everything was just there so I had to do my job, even if I trusted you at the last minute.”

Becca crossed her arms looking smug. “That is a weird way to apologise, you won’t apologise for suspecting me?”

Brandon shrugged unbothered. “everyone is a suspect, no matter how much I trust you.”

Becca chuckled. “You shouldn’t have bothered to apologise if you were going to be like this. I know the requirements of the job,” she leaned closer irking Brandon. “I wouldn’t have let you put me in jail when I am innocent, even without Sky.”

Brandon blinked slightly annoyed and Becca grinned pleased.

“Hey, what’s going on here?”

They turned to see Sky and Stella approaching. Stella looked at Brandon curiously but he avoided eye contact.

“Brandon is just apologising for accusing me,” Becca said in a teasing tone and Brandon huffed irritated.

Sky chuckled and Stella smiled. “I think we should move past that, I am more concerned about how Becca was framed.” Stella pointed out.

“Have you found something?” Sky asked.

“We’re still working on it,” Brandon simply answered.

“Hmm,” Sky nodded and turned to Stella. “where is that boyfriend of yours anyways? I thought I would finally meet him today.”

“He is busy but he said he would come,” Stella answered not noticing Brandon’s slouched shoulders. “I can’t believe you stalked him.”

“You had lost your memory and was suddenly dating someone I don’t know, I had to do some research.” Sky shamelessly justified himself.
