The next day, Stella stepped out of her room a bit exhausted despite having a good night's rest. She and Funmi had discussed about the current state of things.

While things were strange because of the issue of the serial killer, they had come to a compromise on how they would live.

Stella made her way to the dinner table and soon everyone came. They sat together having breakfast quietly.

Stella glanced at Megan and instantly remembered the stunt she pulled on Deji. She glared at Megan as she ate.

After a while, Megan sighed and looked up, “why are you staring at me? It’s annoying.”

Stella scoffed. “Annoying? Annoying is when you flirt with a taken man.” Megan rolled her eyes. “Listen Megan, I will advice you to stay away from my boyfriend. Next time I see or hear you near him, you will regret it.”

Everyone stopped eating staring at the two sisters and an awkward silence that followed. Chinaza was amused but not surprised while Nora feigned ignorance.

Megan leaned into her chair lazily. “Chillax Stella, I didn’t do anything wrong. I just went to see him for my check up, don't be so insecure and jealous.”

“It's not your problem if I'm insecure or jealous. What I am letting you know is stay away from my boyfriend,” Stella warned and got up.

Everyone watched her leave while Megan mumbled inaudible nonsense.

“Like mother, like daughter” Marlene said ‘innocently’ causing Megan to glare. She huffed and got up to leave to Marlene’s satisfaction.

At the police station, Brandon was drenched in sweat giving orders to a team concerning a case. He ended the meeting, returning to his office with Andrew following behind.

“Andrew, what have we gotten from the suspect?”

“Nothing. He has been silent, at the same time, we've done research on him and he has had several medical cases,” Andrew reported. “he isn't mentally sound.”

“That is why he was used, so he won’t be able to be taken seriously,” Brandon frowned displeased. “what else? Anything on Becca?”

“The man left her place yesterday and I managed to get his information. His name is Fiyinoluwa Ojo,” Andrew said looking troubled. “the problem is according to my investigation, Fiyinoluwa died twelve years ago.”

Brandon turned around. “A stolen identity.”

“It wouldn’t be easily discovered. This Fiyinoluwa had little family back then and now there is none,” Andrew answered. “it's a perfect theft.”

“Find out who this man is, do you have a picture?”

“No, this man is quite protective of his face,” Andrew frowned.

Brandon clenched his fist. “Find out how he got the identity and if Becca has any association with a man with this name.”

“Yes sir” Andrew said, turning around to leave. He stopped in his tracks as a thought crossed his mind. He turned back to Brandon. “Sir, what about Stella? Have you talked to her about Becca? She needs to know–”

“Why are you and Diyemi so insistent on letting Stella know everything?” Brandon frowned, interrupting him. “Stella...can't know just yet. After all, she is busy with her work and boyfriend.”
