Chapter 18

"So, today's the day" Chiyo said as she approached the building, taking a deep breath the black haired female went inside. She found her teammates waiting for her,

"Chiyo-chan! You're here" Naruto cheered. She smiled at the blond,

"hello, Naruto-kun" she waved. Chiyo looked at her other teammates.

"Good morning, Sakura-chan, Sasuke-kun" she said.

"Morning Chiyo" the pink haired girl smiled. The group headed to where, after walking up a couple of stair cases the group found themselves in a hallway, Chiyo tilted her head to the side looking at the sign that told them they were on the third floor. She furrowed her brow in confusion,

"That's weird, we've only walked up to the second floor" she said quietly to herself. She noticed a group crowded around one of the doors, two ninjas who looked to be around her age blocked anyone from entering said room. Upon closer inspection she noticed that they looked oddly familiar.

"Are you going to tell them that this is the second floor" Midnight asked. Chiyo looked towards her team for a moment before shaking her head.

"I'm going to see how this plays out" she said as team seven stopped a short distance from the commotion.

"You should just give up" one of the boys said giving the group a smirk. Suddenly, a green blur stepped forward only to be swiftly pushed to the ground. Seemingly having had enough of just watching Sasuke stepped forward arms crossed oved his chest.

"This isn't the third floor" he said catching everyone's attention,

"he's right" Chiyo spoke up. The two boys who had been blocking the door looked at the pair.

"So, you've figured it out" one of them said. Sasuke stepped a bit closer now standing in the middle of the group that had formed in front of the door. Chiyo watched intently incase she needed to step in. Suddenly, faster than her eyes could follow one of the boys threw a punch towards Sasuke. The black haired boy blocked the attack while throwing a punch himself. The hall went completely silent as Chiyo stepped in the middle pushing them apart. She looked over at Sasuke then the other boy. He was wearing a green jumpsuit and had short hair styled in a bowl cut. He looked at her wide eyed for a moment.

"So much for keeping a low profile" a male voice broke the silence. The black haired girl looked over to see he had long, dark brown hair. His eyes reminded her of Hinata's but she would save her questions for later, next to him was a girl who's hair was up in two buns on either side of her head. The short haired boy approached Chiyo his eyes lingering on her mask. He opened his mouth as if he was going to speak before he glanced towards Sakura. Turning his attention towards the pink haired female he walked up to her a smile on his face and his cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

"You're Sakura right, my name is Rock Lee. Be my girlfriend, I'll protect you with my life" he said. Both Sakura and Chiyo stood there shocked by his boldness. The pink haired girl looked at him for a moment before giving him a blunt response in return.

"You're too weird" she said looking away. Hearing those words the boy sulked his head against the near by wall a shadow on his face. Chiyo felt bad for him as she watched him stand up straight once more. The room shifted the sign now showing that it was actually the second floor.

"We should get going before we're late" the black haired girl said. Before they could leave the long haired boy spoke up.

  "What's your name" he asked. Sasuke only glanced at him for a moment. He refused to tell them his name pushing his way to the front of team seven. The rest of them followed behind their team mate.

"Hey, you with the sharp eyes" a familiar voice spoke. Team seven looked above them to see the short haired boy standing on the banister above. Sasuke turned around crossing his arms,

"you're name is Sasuke right?" he asked. The quiet boy only looked up at him.

   "Fight me" he stated in a determined look on his face. Sasuke raised an eyebrow, the boy jumped down from above.

  "Sasuke, we're going to be late" Chiyo said hoping to convince him not to do anything stupid.

"It's always Sasuke" Naruto growled, the black haired girl did feel bad for him but remained quiet. The blond haired boy stepped forward.

"I'll fight you" he said, the green clad boy cocked his head to the side. Chiyo put a hand on his shoulder.

"Naruto-kun, please, we need to get going" she said. He ignored her running towards the boy. He was quickly knocked back hitting the wall, Chiyo looked back at the boy.

"He didn't even use Ninjustu" she said to herself. Sasuke stepped forward,

     "You're asking to fight me knowing who I am" he said in a cocky tone. Chiyo let out a quiet sigh as she stood next to her other two teammates. The fight started and Sasuke would not let up, he activated his Sharingan but it didn't seem to help him. Chiyo and Sakura watched wide eyed as Sasuke was knocked back to the ground,

"Sasuke...is loosing" Sakura mumbled.

"That boy hasn't even used Ninjustu" Chiyo repeated. The boy stood in the middle of the room a serious look on his face. Sasuke pulled himself to his feet scowling. He ran towards the boy, in response he pulled off weights Chiyo didn't even realize he had been wearing. He prepared to attack once more but something about this was different. Before he could land a blow Chiyo appeared in between them holding out her sword. Both males looked at her surprised as she stood there calmly.

"This is waisting time" she said sternly, suddenly, a cloud of smoke appeared revealing a giant turtle. Chiyo cocked her head to the side in confusion.

"What in the world is going on?" Midnight asked.

  "I have no idea" Chiyo grumbled quietly.
