Chiyo stood next to Naruto not speaking a word, she wore all black a flower clutched in her hands as she stared at the picture of the hokage. A thick silence fell over the group of mourning villagers as they paid their respects to the fallen leader. A breeze blew through the aid as she approached the coffin laying the flower gently on top of it. Chiyo closed her eyes taking a deep breath as she remembered all the hokage had done for the village, all he had done for her.

Chiyo stood nervously covered in dirt and blood. She didn't speak too traumatized to form any thoughts, the sight of everyone she loved being stripped away from her in a single night still fresh in her mind. The man behind the desk smiled sympathetically as he looked at her, she glanced up at him before looking back down towards the ground.

"If  you'd like, you may live here" the man offered. She was caught off guard by the offer as she looked up at him, wide eyed.

"I wouldn't wanna be any trouble" she said finally speaking. Her voice was scratchy and strained, the hokage shook his head still smiling.

"You wouldn't be any trouble" he insisted. Chiyo thought for a moment, it wasn't like she had any other options now that she was alone.

"Thank you" she said a smile stretching across her face.

"Thank you, for everything" she said looking up at the sky, a tear slid down her face. Her heart ached as she stepped back joining Naruto, he looked at her a frown on his face. Then, she felt someone hug her leg, she looked down to ses Konohamaru who was crying. She let him cry as she pat his back doing hus best to comfort him. She knew how he must feel right now, Chiyo was well aware of how it felt to loose family.

"Well, I'm glad that's done" Chiyo said her house having finally been repaired.

"It's lucky that not a lot was damaged" Midnight said, Chiyo looked down at the picture  frame she held in her hand. The picture inside was left undamaged by the glass had a large crack in it, she frowned staring at the faces of ger mother and father. There was a small portion of the glass left in good condition It showed her when she was younger, she held her parents' hands beaming at the camera. Chiyo ran her thumb over the picture a small frown on her face.

"You can't get it fixed" Midnight reassured her. She nodded,

"I know...." she trailed off. She was snapped put of her thoughts as she heard foot steps approaching. Chiyo turned her head to see Naruto smiling at her, he was followed by Jiraya both of them holding bags.

"There you are Chiyo-chan" the blond called out running up to her.

     "Hello Naruto-kun" she smiled,

"Did you two need something?" she asked looking over towards Jiraya.

"We need your help finding someone" Naruto said, Chiyo raised an eyebrow looking over at Midnight for a moment.

"We're going to find Tsunade, she's been chosen as the next Hokage" Jiraya explained. The black haired girl was surprised,

     "I see" she said.

"Alright when are we leaving" she asked.

"Well, we're leaving today" Naruto said nervously.

"You could've told me earlier" Chiyo frowned. She sighed quietly to herself,

"I'll go pack" she told them heading back into her home.
