The Girl Behind The Mask

Chapter 39

         "You wanted to see me Tsunade-sama" Chiyo walked into the woman's office, she spotted Kakashi standing inside as well who waved at her.

"Yes, I have a mission for you and Kakashi" she said. The black haired girl raised an eyebrow,

"what about Naruto and Sakura?" she questioned.

  "I've decided that it will be just the two of you" Tsunade said. Chiyo nodded,

"I understand" she said. Tsunade smiled at her,

  "the two of you will be acting as bodyguards" she said. The door opened and a family walked in. There was a man, he looked older with dark brown hair, his eyes were a dark shade of green and his skin was pale. Next to him was a woman with purple hair and lavender eyes, she had a kind smile on her face. Trailing behind them were two children. The older one, a boy, looked around Chiyo's age. He had brown like his father and his eyes were the same color as his mother's. Clinging onto his arm was a younger girl with hair that started out as brown but switched to purple near the bottom. She had one green eye and one lavender. She looked up at Chiyo her head tilted to the side curiously. The family was also joined by another male who had black hair and grey eyes. The expression on his face didn't seem friendly.

  "It's nice to meet you both" the man introduced himself.

  "My name is Akihiro, this is my wife Akemi" he motioned towards the woman.

  "It's a pleasure to meet you" she smiled at the pair.

  "My name's Akasuka!" the little girl cheered, Chiyo smiled finding her cheery attitude cute.

  "I'm Akihiko" the son stated quietly, he looked at Chiyo as if studying her his eyes lingering on her mask.

  "Kakashi, Chiyo, your job is to get them back to their home safely" Tsunade told them. The two nodded,

  "we'll meet at the gate, so get everything you need" Kakashi told her.

  "Yes sir" she said as she left the office. She could feel a pair of eyes watching her, the black haired girl ignored it as she made her way to her home.

   Chiyo approached the village gate seeing Kakashi and the family waiting there for her.

"Good, we're ready to go" Kakashi said seeing the girl approaching. The little girl looked up a smile on her face, Chiyo gave her a wave before her hand fell back to her side.

"We should get going now" the black haired male said in a monotone voice. He looked back at Chiyo and Kakashi with a seemingly suspicious look in his eyes. Chiyo nodded noting that he hadn't introduced himself. The family climbed inside of the carriage as Chiyo, Kakashi, and the unnamed bodyguard stood outside of it. The black haired girl kept her hand close to her sword staying on high alert. The village gate was opened as the group left, Chiyo took a deep breath hoping things would go smoothly.
