Chiyo watched as Sasuke and the ninja he would be fighting stood across from each other on the platform, the entire arena was dead silent as the people watching waited for the match to begin.

"Do you think Sasuke will be ok" Sakura asked.

"I'm sure he'll be fine, he's strong" she reassured the pink haired girl.

"Do you really believe that?" Midnight asked, Chiyo shook her head a bit glancing at Sakura for a moment.

"I'm not sure, that mark could be a problem" she said quietly watching as Sasuke made the first move. Her eyes watched the fight intently. At first, Sasuke had the upper hand and everything was going well. However, the fight soon took a sharp turn and Sasuke suddenly started to become weak.

"What's going on?" Sakura asked bringing a hand up to her mouth as it trembled.

"His chakara is being drained" the black haired girl said.

"Sasuke-kun" the pink haired girl whispered under her breath. Chiyo watched closely as something about Sasuke started to change. Upon closer inspection the mark on his neck expanded, it looked like some sort of tattoo. Some sort of dark chakara was coming from the boy.

"This must have been what Sakura-chan told me about" Chiyo mumbled.

"It's like the chakara is taking over his body" Midnight said. The girl cringed as Sasuke landed one final blow on his enemy. Afterwards the mark seemed to go back to normal as Sasuke was taken to the infirmary. In that moment she hadn't realized that her match was next.

"Chiyo-chan, you're next" Sakura pointed out. The black haired female nodded Though she was unwilling to admit it she was more nervous than she had been in a long time.

"Are you ok" the pink haired girl asked noticing how she was acting.

"I'm fine" she answered making her way down to the platform.

"You seem worried" Midnight pointed out. Chiyo took a deep breath hoping to ease her nerves even a little.

"Is it obvious" she joked trying to lighten the mood.

"Remember, just stay calm. Getting distracted will only get you hurt" the wolf told her. Chiyo nodded looking over at the person she would have to fight. It was a female with long light blue hair, she had dark blue eyes that seemed to have a glint of amusement in them. Upon closer inspection Chiyo noticed that she was from the stone village.

"You don't look like much, this should be easy" she taunted.

"She's trying to make you angry" Midnight  said growling.

"Well, she won't get one" Chiyo stated. The match began as the two girls   stood across from each other. For a moment neither of them made a move, as if they were waiting to see if the other would make the first move. Chiyo pulled out a kunai clutching it tightly,

"You're that girl who's family was killed right? Pretty pathetic if you ask me" the girl smirked. Despite Chiyo's best efforts to remain calm a feeling of rage bubbled within the pit of her stomach.

"Chiyo, don't let her get to you" Midnight pleaded with the girl.

"How is it that someone as weak as you is the only one who survived" the girl continued. At that moment Chiyo felt all her restraint leave her body. She threw the kunai at the ninja with all the  strength she could muster. The girl dodged the weapon as it became lodged into the wall creating a large crack that shook the foundation. The crowd gasped as the blue haired female pulled out a whip that seemed to be made of metal. Attached to the end of it was a sharp blade.

"Oh? Did I hit a nerve" she said, suddenly, without warning the whip through the air towards Chiyo. The black haired girl grabbed the blade her hand starting to bleed but still successfully stoping the weapon from causing too much damage.

"Gotcha" the blue haired female smirked. Distracted Chiyo didn't notice the lightning traveling through the metal and directly towards her.

"Watch out!" Midnight called, however, it was too late as Chiyo felt her body being shocked. She froze for a moment as her body eventually stopped. Breathing heavily Chiyo pulled on the whip knocking her enemy off of her balance and forcing her to let go of the weapon. She dropped it kicking it behind her.

"You've got a lot more fight than I expected" the girl frowned. Chiyo stared her down pulling out her sword. She ran towards the girl ignoring the ache that was present throughout her body. Once she was close enough she swung her sword at the girl landing a blow on her leg, she fell to the knees a frustrated frown decorating on her face. The blue haired female grabbed Chiyo by the arm sending another shock into her body. The black haired girl bit her bottom lip doing her best to hold in a scream. In a last ditch effort she held her sword by it's handle hitting the girl in the head as hard as she could. Her grip loosened as she fell to the ground unconscious. Chiyo let out a sigh of relief before falling to her knee.

"....." before she could speak Chiyo's vision became black as she finally passed out. The last thing she remembered was the sound of Midnight calling her name.
