"I wonder why can't we tell the team we're dating, it's about time don't you think?"

"Tadashi, we talked about this, we're keeping it secret,"

"Tsukki, do you not want to be with me?"

Tsukishima clicks his tounge and snaps at Yamaguchi, "Why does it matter in the first place?! You haven't dropped that subject ever since we left school!"

Yamaguchi was on the verge of tears but never in his entire years of living would he accept such an attitude from Tsukishima.

"Well fuck it then! You're making me think you're dating me out of pity you heartless bastard," he points while lashing out.

He was frustrated. He wanted to show his affection outwardly but clearly, that isn't going to happen. His anxiety flies out the window and gets replaced with seething irritation.

"I wanna publicly express affection, and it makes me sad that I can't and now all of my ambitions are thrown out the window!" he snaps back.

"Have it your way, I'm going home," he picks up his bag as Tsukishima sits there in surprise.

He didn't know it'd work him up so much.

And he felt guilty. And scared.

Of course, he wanted to tell the team, he just didn't know what to expect. Would they disprove of Yamaguchi dating a heartless guy like him? Would they even support it the way they did with Kageyama and Hinata.

"He got out pretty angrily," Akiteru suddenly enters Tsukishima's room as his younger brother glares at him.

"Don't bite. We could hear the screaming from downstairs," Akiteru holds his hands up in surrender, before sitting on Tsukishima's study chair.

"So, what was it about?"

"Can you not meddle in my personal business?" Tsukishima furrows his brows and removes his glasses.

Akiteru sighs, "C'mon, Yamaguchi-kun seemed really upset y'know, I can't help it," he tilts his head, "Because something tells me it's your fault,"

Tsukishima jolts up and glares at Akiteru. "Don't rub it in, I know that, I'm not dumb," me mumbles as Akiteru just observes his little brother.

After a few moments of painfully tense silence, Tsukishima's shell starts to break. "He wants to tell the team,"

"About?"

"Us dating,"

"And?"

Tsukishima brings his knees up to his chest like a small child. "I rejected his wishes. I don't think it's necessary and he got mad,"

Akiteru sighs and gets up, "You highschoolers have your priorities sorted out huh," he opens Kei's door, "Think about it, do you think it's not necessary, or are you just scared?"

Tsukishima whips his head up over to his brother's direction with wide eyes. As if cold water was poured all over him.

"Huh?"

"Yamaguchi-kun has always admired you, but don't you think it's about time you succumbed to some of his wishes?"

Tsukki mumbles, "I– don't know,"

"Apologize to him okay? Fights are normal but don't let it get too far,"
