🎄💝 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨 💝🎄

Kiyoko parks the car on the shrine parking lot. Yachi hops out the car and opens the door for Kiyoko.

"Uwah, so many people tonight," she blows warm steam into her gloved hands and bounces on her heels a little.

Kiyoko gently places a hand on her back as they advance towards the stairs of the shirne. "I do hope that there aren't too many inside,"

Yachi nods and they arrive towards the entrance. "Go first," Kiyoko beckons and takes Yachi's gloves.

The younger woman grabs the laddle and rinses her hands with the cold water. She pours some on her hands and rinses her mouth before spitting it out onto the side.

Kiyoko brings out a handkerchief and hands it to Yachi. "The water is so cold," she shivers.

Kiyoko laughs while removing her gloves, "Well it is winter, after all," she follows suit for the purification process and both of them enter the haiden.

The bell above them shook. Both of them bow and clap twice, inserting the coins in the box and bow twice before turning.

"What did you pray for?" Kiyoko takes Yachi's hand into her own as the smaller female walks closer towards her girlfriend.

Yachi adjusts her muffler closer before answering her, "The usual," she looks up at Kiyoko, "Like, college, mom and you," she smiles.

"Especially finals coming in and your passing exam is also closing up so I wanted us to have good luck,"

Kiyoko lightly boops her nose, "You're so adorable," she giggles as Yachi blushes.

"Kiyo-chan is more adorable than me," Yachi playfully furrows her brows, trying to disregard her shyness.

"What did Kiyo-chan pray for?" Yachi asks and wraps her arms around Kiyoko's. The latter places a finger on her lips and cheekily grins, "It's a secret,"

"Uweh?? No fair Kiyo-chan!" Yachi laughs and both of them continue to walk along the light filled streets.

They suddenly come across a children's choir along the streets, Kiyoko abruptly stopping to watch.

Yachi, confused at her girlfriend looks at her and just smiles when the adoration in Kiyoko's eyes. She just stands close to Kiyoko and listen to the children sing.

"I used to accompany my younger cousin to her own Christmas street choir once," Kiyoko explains as Yachi's ears perk. 'A Kiyo-chan backstory!'

"She grew out of it but I really enjoyed watching her," she explains, gently tugging Yachi away and resume walking.

"I wonder how it feels to watch your child on a small choir," Kiyoko mutters absentmindedly, audible to Yachi as the small girl blushes.

'Kiyo-chan wants to have children!'

"Kiyo, you wanna have kids?" Yachi shyly asks as Kiyoko holds up a shocked palm up her mouth. "I'm sorry did I say too much?" Kiyoko worriedly glances down at Yachi.

The small girl smiles and shakes her head while looking ahead. "You know, if it was my highschool self hearing this I'd be extremely apologetic," Yachi picks on the ruffles of her muffler. "Because, as two women, we can't have a child through the normal way,"

Kiyoko's heart starts beating fast but she keeps her cool facade while anticipating for Yachi's next sentence. "But I also want to have a family with Kiyo-chan,"

Kiyoko's heart bursts with joy. She feels the overwhelming tears of love flow from her eyes making Yachi panic immensely.

She pulls Kiyoko in a less crowded side of the street panicking, "Kiyo-chan?! I'm so sorry I totally didn't even consider if you wanted to have children with m–"

"–You really want to have a family with me?" Kiyoko cuts her off and holds both her hands. Yachi shyly looks down and responds with, "I've thought about it sometimes," she turns beet red as Kiyoko laughs and hugs the small girl.

"Me too, Hitoka," Kiyoko caresses her hair. Yachi blushes and squeals clutching Kiyoko's coat while she hugs her girlfriend back.

"Actually," Kiyoko breaks the hug apart and fishes something in her pockets, "I wanted to give a small thing to you," she explains while gently removing Yachi's glove.

"I'm not rushing or anything," Kiyoko reveals a small band with a rose design.

"And this isn't really a marriage proposal yet, it's more of a Christmas gift," she looks at a blushing Yachi, "It's a promise, that I'd form a family with you," she inserts the ring into Yachi's fingers.

"Because my Hitoka is very special. I wouldn't have it any other way,"

It was now Yachi's turn to cry. "Kiyoko–," she starts to bawl. She hugs the older girl as Kiyoko sighs and pats Yachi's back.

"I'm so lucky to have you Kiyoko~," she sniffles and wipes her tears away, "I definitely have to look at this under proper lighting," she jokes while holding her hand up.

The ring softly glistens against the moonlight beneath them. Her hands were cold but it was all alright.

Kiyoko laughs and cups Yachi's face, gently pressing a kiss against her lips. Yachi gets up a bit on her tippy toes holding Kiyoko's shoulders for support.

"I kinda feel bad for not yet getting a Christmas gift for you," Yachi sighs and pouts.

Kiyoko pinches her cheeks and giggles, "Don't stress about it, take me on a date, that's how you can make it up," she hooks her arm around Yachi's.

"Would tonight be ideal?" Yachi asks, calming down from the euphoria high she just experienced, keeping her hand ungloved as she stuffs it into Kiyoko's pocket.

Kiyoko grins at her, "More than anything,"

"A date it is!" Yachi cheerfully grabs Kiyoko as they traverse the path back to the main street. Kiyoko points towards the direction of Christmas bazaars.

They walk towards the stalls of the night market. Both women immediately amazed by the food and trinkets stall.

The lights were shining, the snow has stopped falling and in the background the choir children were singing.

And the world spun around them, but it was all good.

SAPPHIC GOODNESS

LET'S GO WLW NATION.

Anyways, I had fun writing this!!

Also, I haven't been to a shrine (神社) in forever. My offering knowledge is a bit shaky but I clearly remember you have to sacrifice a 5¥ coin and I know not everyone does the purification system.

NEXT UP IS BOKUAKA FOR THE SOUL
