EPISODE 26

The beginning of the next day was polar opposite for two souls. One was happy and excited while the other was sad to the core of his heart.

Prachi was in a good mood. Her preparations were over and she was ready. Now she had to just call Aarav and invite him to the spot. She picked up her phone and dialed his number.

"Hi. Good morning sweetie." Aarav picked up the call almost immediately.

"How did you pick up the call so fast?" Prachi enquired.

"It's the connection between us.....I mean I had a intuition that you are about to call me." he lied, now saying the truth that there was his spy outside Prachi's house.

 "Awww. Really?"

"Why would I ever lie to you?"

"Why are you so sweet? Now listen, can you meet me at XYZ place today after an hour?" she said nervously.

"Yeah! I'm free for the whole day today. But why do you want to meet me?" Aarav said feigning innocence.

"It's a surprise! I think you will like it. Bye!" Prachi said and cut the call.

Aarav glanced at the blank screen of his phone and smirked. 

"I'm the one you will give the surprise. I have waited for long. Today you will get to see the true face of Aarav Kapoor." he said devilishly.

Ranbir meandered down the stairs for breakfast. He greeted everyone and sat down. There was a sad look in his eyes and this did not go unnoticed by his mother.

"What happened? Did you not like the food?" Pallavi asked her son.

"No mom, it's delicious." he replied in a blank voice.

"Is there anything wrong? Why is your mood off today?" she asked further.

"I'm ok mom. Don't worry for me."

Pallavi was worried by her son's condition. She thought for a while and suddenly the face of the person who brought a smile on her son's face flashed in her mind.

"Why don't you invite Prachi over here? All of you can have a fun day as you deserve it for your hard work." she suggested with a smile.

"She will be busy today." he said simply and walked off to his room.

Once inside his room, Ranbir shut the door and slipped down on the floor. He was pretending to be normal from outside, but he was being killed from inside every single moment. He could not bear the thought of Prachi with Aarav. On top of everything, he could not shake off the feeling that Prachi was in grave danger.

"Why would be she in danger? It is going to be one of the memorable days of her life......." he thought to himself.

 Letting out a sigh he stood up. Something caught his attention then. It was the same crystal ball which he had brought as a gift for Prachi. He picked it up and caressed it with his fingers.

"You are useless now." Ranbir said sadly and dashed it to the floor to break it.

Before it could break into pieces, another pair of hands caught it.

"Save it. It may come of use to you later." Aryan said keeping the crystal ball safely.

"The person for whom I brought it won't need it now. So, of what use is it to me?" Ranbir asked sarcastically.

"Listen Ranbir, I don't know much about love, but chucks and dad always say that true love can be distanced for sometime but never be seperated forever. Your love for Prachi is true and I believe nobody can snatch it from you. If God has made both of you for each other, you are bound to unite in some way or another." Aryan spoke the wise words.
